want to increase calories to maintain!

Quote  |  Reply

Hey everyone. I'm 15 yrs old 5'6" and 118 lbs but right now the scale says 122. I have been having 900-1100 calories a day since the beginning of this year and looked to see that my maintenance was actually 1700. So on saturday i had 1700 and felt guilty the next day and had 1000. I decided yesterday that i need to fix my metabolism cuz i dont wanna grow up with problems so i had 1700 yesterday as well. will i gain alot of weight with this sudden jump of calories? how much? i heard it was temporary?

youll gain quite a bit of water weight at first and maybe a few permanent pounds in the process, but nothing serious and it's definitely worth repairing your metabolism!! just continue eating 1700 otherwise the transition from restriction to normal back and forth will damage your metabolism even further. remain consistent and it will bounce back.

so do i keep a consistent 1700 or should i zigzag like 1700 1800 1700 and so forth to boost my metabolism more?

zigzagging would be great but from here on out don't drop below 1700, even while zigzagging. make sense?

yep, thank you so much!
