19 and i want to lose 9 pounds
Hello everyone, im 140 pounds and i have been for the last 2 years. Everyone tells me i only look 130 but the scales tell a different story. I do aerobic home videos 3/4 times a week but i am lost with how to diet. Whats the best way to shed those pounds???

Hey there, confusedgirlie. Losing those pounds can be tough. How tall are you? That is a good place to start because healthy weight range is based on height. Also, do you know your BMI (body mass index)? If not, multiply your weight in pounds by 705. Then, divide twice by your height in inches (if you are 5 feet 8 inches, your height in inches would be 68). This will give you a starting point to see whether you are in a healthy weight range and also if you are considered overweight (a BMI of less than 25 is considered normal). If you are not overweight but still want to lose a few extra pounds, I would try to make it as gradual as possible. This website can help you with that if you fill out all your stats and then let it pick a goal target date for you. Typically, the more gradual the weight loss, the more permanent the weight loss.
