want to lose 17 lbs and i tried everything :S can someone plz help?
i'm 17 years old.. 5'2.5 and i am around 127 lb.. my weight doesnt seem to drop unless i eat very little and i dont like this diet anymore. i want to find a healthier way to eat, exercise and get down to 110 lb. i tried eating all healthy stuff and exercising regularly but still i see no results. i think my problem is of my calorie consumption.. i dont know how much to eat everyday next to the exercising.. also, i tried eating 1500 cals a day nxt to daily exercise for 2 weeks still no results.. maybe i need less cals? can someone please tell me how i can do this ? :(
thanks!

If you check your stats through this chart you'll find that you're a perfectly healthy weight for your height. The weight we want to be and our healthy weight are not always the same thing. Body-frame alone means that not everyone can be at the low end of the BMI scale.
You'll also see that if you exercise regularly you need about 2000-2300 cals a day to maintain your healthy weight and have the energy you need to grow and develop properly.
I'd suggest that from now on you aim to get a reasonable number of calories .... the 2000-2300 mentioned... and go for a balanced, healthy diet. Appreciate the body you've got rather than being down on yourself because it's not rake thin.
I'm 5'2"/5'3" and have weighed 107 pounds in the past. I was starving. Literally. I was in college and had no money. Looking back at photos of myself, I look emaciated.
I'm 26 now and after having two kids, appreciate my body when it's in the 120s. I'm healthy and have the energy to play with my children. I have a medium frame and just look terrible at a lower weight.
Follow gi-jane's advice. She knows what she's talking about. :)

Anyone under 17 should not drop their intake to less than 1500, and even then only if they're completely sedentary. What you're proposing would be very unhealthy.

im 17. in recovery from an ED. used to have the same stats as you: 5'2 127.
healthy eating is not a diet, its a lifestyle. there is no other way to put it. make healthy eating around 1800-2000 calories a day (more if you're super active), nutritious foods, no foods are forbidden. no, the weight isn't gonna melt off, but you'll eventually lose the weight. again, magic results are ephemeral. with a healthy diet for life, expect physical results in maybe 4 months, maybe more
