1. I want to fit into my old clothes again. I miss the concept of jeans.

2. I want to gain back some of my self-esteem.

3. I want to have more energy and not be "weighed down" in every physical activity. I'd also like to not be such a wimp. And being more flexible would help in many many activities.

4. I want to stop carrying so much weight on my knees, that have already been through surgery.

5. I want to stop thinking about losing weight constantly and looking at my thighs constantly and having so many obsessive thoughts about my weight.

6. I don't want to be at risk for diabetes, which runs in my family.

7. I want to stop worrying about what old friends would think of me if I ran into them.

8. I want to go to the beach and actually get in the water instead of staring at it wishing I was wearing a bathing suit.

9. To maybe inspire my boyfriend to get healthy too. He is also energy-less like me, and is at high-risk for diabetes.

I've never really been overweight, though I did put on almost 20 lbs after my first year of college. My family has a history of body issues and- of course- mine were manifested in overeating- probably due to a period of depression.

The main reasons I'd like to lose weight are because I want my lifestyle and body to reflect the positive changes I've made in my life in other areas, especially on an emotional level. I want to have the energy and confidence to get the most out of my life- and serious health problems that have recently afflicted some of the people that I am closest with have been sort of a "wakeup call".

Ultimately, one of the strongest motivations for me now is that I'm turning 20 this year- I'm still really young and have a lot of my life left to live- and I dont want to waste it feeling ashamed and unhappy about my body. I know from my success in high school that I have a lot of athletic potential, especially in both soccer and cross country, and I am realizing that there is still a window of opportunity for me to push myself and go as far as I can in sports.

Honestly, I'm just really happy to have rediscovered my passion for soccer in these past few months of changing my lifestyle and all the motivation I need can be drawn from the fact that my athletic goals may finally become a reality :)

15 lbs to go! Thanks for the opportunity to share and good luck to everyone with their lifestyle goals!

AL

1) So I can be happy with how I look now and maintain it and take my habits with my for my whole life

2) So when I start college I feel more confident and won't worry that people are thinking I'm chubby

3) Good health

4) Obvvviously to look good in a bikini :p

5) I don't wanna be jealous of my thin friends and I don't always wanna be the 'biggest' eevn though I'm tall

6) To feel sexy round the guys!!

1/ go into a store and find that most slothes fit me the way i like, not leave the store with the feeling that nothing fits, that there is nothing here that suits me

2/ more confidence

3/ less pain in my knees

4/ be able to wear a bathing suit without having to hide my bum by putting on shorts

5/ feel sexy, get enough confidence to be able to wear sexy dresses / skirts, and dont think that i look stupid in it

6/ bring my level of bad cholesterol down

7/ get my fitness level back (would hardly be possible to play a full match of basket ball now...)

1. Try on bikinis without wanting to cry.

2. Run a 5k without being the last one to finish.

3. Be able to wear my old clothes!

4. Feel less self conscious naked.

5. Keep up with my two rat terrier pups.

A BETTER SEX LIFE AND BETTER SEX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 lol :) honesty

i think that's the best reason! actually when i workout at a high enough intensity (& im able to recover by eating properly), i do find that my libido shoots way up.

I want to lose weight/get healthy for the following reasons:

1. to live longer.  I'm a single parent, if I die young my son would have nowhere to go.

2. to be healthier, get off my blood pressure medicine once and for all.

3. to look like someone who practices what they preach - I'm studying to be a personal trainer and I really don't think I stand a chance if I'm overweight.

4. I be able to put my jeans in the dryer and have them still fit when they come out!

1.  To not feel so run down

2.  To not get all the diseases that run in my family (diabetes, heart disease, obesity)

3.  Fit into my old clothes and buy some  maybe one size smaller.Laughing

4.  I miss the confidence I had thinner.

I want a short, boys haircut, and my face is too fat to pull it off at the moment.

To be able to do things I stopped doing as a kid - wear a swimsuit - never worn a bikini - that seems beyond my imagination. To go swimming, running, be fit not huff and puff.

To weight something acceptable in my 20's/ adult life.

To be able to learn to ski or surf without feeling incompetent.

Hopefully to look better, to feel better, to get some of the people around me off my back. To motivate, surprise and challenge others around me.

To have accomplished something for myself. To challenge my own limitations and perceptions of myself

Honestly I can't remember. At one point I just looked in the bathroom mirror and thought, yup, I need to lose some weight.

Hi everyone, the reason I want to lose weight, is to feel and look good. Be able to shop at normal size stores (here in Europe the sizes are ridiculously small but anyways) being able to run without feeling completely exhausted and out of breath. The most important reason that I want to lose weight, is because I have diabetes and high blood pressure in my family and I want to prevent from having either of them or any over-weight related medical problems. I am a very happy person, but lately I have been feeling very self conscious about my body, and all I want is for that feeling to go away ( which I know we as human beings will always find something to feel self conscious about ) but just not to worry or think about it so much.

:D

- To wear my old wardrobe which I adore without looking like a stuffed pork sausage

- To feel confident at all times

- To skip the type 2 diabetes diagnosis that runs in my family

- To wear a bikini on the beach without a shred of doubt Cool

Same here! I have never in my 20 years worn a bikini! From year 5/6 when I realised i was fatter than everyone else, I stopped swimming! And I mean I stop going to  MAURITIUS beaches!

Plus I want to have a full body wax...but I don't want people cringing when they see my body.Embarassed

Oh and I want to learn skiing too...but when you are fat people look at you disgusted, but if you are thin the cute trainer will smile and help you even after hours! So yeah I want a beautiful love story! lol
