hey! i'm totally in too. i have a goal of 20lb in 6months, since it took me a year to put it on. but i think 15lb in 9 weeks is totally do-able if i have the support of a great group.

because of my age,  weight and being on a 1200 cal intake my work up on cc says that I should have a weight lose of only .6lbs a week, which isn't much. so I will be keeping my cal intake no higher than 1200. and will try getting in a little more exercise.  It seems to be doing alright although my scales fluctuate my trend line is still on the decline.   If anyone  has any good ideas  can you share please....

Hi! I'd like to join too!

I'm 5ft 2, and weigh in right now at 279. I have quite a ways to go to my goal weight (140), but I'm finding smaller amounts at a time helps keep me motivated. I have already lost a little over 30lbs, I started at just over 300lbs.

Any tips or suggestions? I've been keeping track of calories (1200-1500 a day), and I walk about 2 miles a night on the treadmill. I also drink lots of water and very little (if ever) drink pop. I just get so frustrated when I dont see a loss, and sometimes that throws me off for a while. Hoping that I can stay motivated and lose what I need to to become healthy.

Hang in there Teresa.  I'm adopting the Tortoise and Hare approach.  I'm also doing the South Beach diet in combination with 1200 to 1500 cal per day and trying to do at least 30 min. on the elliptical.  Today I gained a pound according to the scale (grooooooanCry) but onward and downward as opposed to onward and upwardWink.  Mel

o.k. so a few more days til our first weigh in! How does everyone think they are doing? I myself have not been able to exercise I have been layed up in bed drugged due to severe back pain.

I am planning on going low carb I am realizing my body does not do so good on a low fat high carb diet.I am not going to consume massive amounts of fat but just going to lower my carbs.I don't know how many carbs I'll be eating but I do know that if I restrict myself too drastically I go crazy and binge like a mad man!

I hope you all are doing good on your diet and exercise routines and I will be sending out reminders via personal messages on wednesday,I have joined challenges where only two people actually kept up with it,so I am determined to keep all of us accountable! We all want this and we deserve it!

My Monday morming "weigh-in drum roll" was cut short by a lost of only .5 pounds!!!!!! I know, I know it's better than gaining, but I'm sayin' at this rate I won't lose 5 pounds by xmas forget about 15. Yes, I work out like Richard Simmons doing aerobics for crack and am intaking 1600- 1800 calories ( cc suggest I intake 1850 ) but this weight refuses to move. Anywho, I hope others have more satisfying results than I, and remember no gain is better than gaining!!!!!! I weigh in on Mondays and Friday-- what days will we weigh in as a group, Candi.
