Hi everyone!

My new way of eating as I like to call it started On august 7 2008 and its been working nicely I have lost 29lbs in less than 3 months and here is how I have done it, for those who are deciding what to eat:

I zigzag calories some days 1300, 1500, 1800 and Saturday or Sunday 2000 cals

I excersise everyday but each day is a diferent workout, sundays a very long run.

I always eat before and after exercises (before a slim fast shake, after a 300cal protein bar like MET-RX)

I eat a wide variety of fruits and veggies

No fried food, no white bread or pasta only whole wheat, also brown rice.

And log, log, log

Every 3 weeks I go to a nutritionist and get on a body composition scale that tells me what is going on inside my body, so far I have Gained about 3lbs of muscle and lost only fat!

I eat about .7gr of protein per lbs a day.

My diet is about 20-25% fat 25-30% protein and 50-60% carbs

I hope this is helpful to someone on our group.

I was thinking we can weigh in on Thursdays since Christmas falls on a Thursday this year.we have 8 weeks and 4 days til Christmas you can make it!!!

I have such a hard time losing as well.I get so discouraged when I hear people can take a 30 min walk twice a week and the weight just falls off of them but I have to do 6 hours of exercise a week to lose 1 pound,but we all are different and some can lose faster and easier than others.just don't get discouraged and don't give up you can do this! half a pound in 4 days is good,I know it's not what you were hoping for but maybe next time you weigh yourself it will be double that,you have two months and some weeks will be better than others,you'll make it!

Thank you I am actually doing a lot better today.I cleaned my house a little and am just sitting for a while so I don't irritate my back.I have degenerative disc disease but don't know how many disc's are affected yet.I never had pain as bad as this past weekend and I'm hoping it never gets that bad again! Thanks again!

I'd like to join too if possible!?!  I need something to keep me motivated especially though all the holidays!

im still 64 kg :( this plateu is going on forever. i think i need to revise my diet and get to the gym a bit more.

this weeks weight 175.8  that is a 3.2 pound loss for the week! I am having a hard time believing the scale but am happy with what it says!Good luck to everyone!!

Hi Everyone!  I've been waiting all week to post my loss.  this is a good idea.  Not much of a loss but still downward.  last week 182 this week 180.5 so 1.5 I'll have to have some better weeks in the future to make 15 pounds by Christmas but still better down for 1.5 than nothingLaughing Mel
