starting weight was 198.4 on 7/24/08

current weight 179.0 on 10/23/08

sucks, doesn't it? But you know, it's normal. Just glad it's not higher. I will keep you posted throughout the week, because I have definitely had a decent deficit. I think I've just had high sodium levels, so I bet it will drop in a couple of days. I had my own mini goal of getting under 160 for Halloween. Even if the scale said 159.9 before Saturday, I would be psyched.

And anyway, I have discovered this week that I am now able to jog 4 miles without stopping. I have NEVER been able to do that in my ENTIRE LIFE. So I am really proud for that. Good job and good luck everyone!

hi! so i didn't make it to the gym today-- i got in my morning run, worked 9 hours, and then had a birthday party to go to-- but i'm gonna Pump some Iron tomorrow and will hit the scale then... hopefully I've budged under 162, but likely I've gone up. My gym has one of those slidey scale things like at the doctor's office, so it's always a rough estimate anyway. I just wanna break to the 150 mark...

Happy Halloween everyone!

For some of us, it's going to be a challenge to keep our diet with all of this candy around - especially if you have kids, I'm sure it's much harder.  We can do it though.  What I did was buy candy that I'm not particularly in love with.  I could eat about 500 snickers or reeses peanut butter cups in a night so I made sure not to buy any.  Does anyone else have any ideas for how to keep the candy at bay?  Maybe just an out of sight, out of mind?

Is the group closed?  I was part of the October Challenge and I'd like to join.  I probably won't lose 15, but I'll shoot for it and hopefully lose some!

Sorry I'm late to weigh in! I was 157.2... lost .5 lbs. Kind of depressing, but I'm not letting it bother me. I had a rough week - I accidently sliced my thumb on a can when I was trying to bend the lid back (stupid stupid move..) and ended up having to get 5 stitches. Needless to say, its pretty hard to use my hand right now for exercising because I can't hold onto anything. It's healing nicely though, so I should be back in action next week!

I heard a tip on the radio on how to keep track of all your halloween treats -- don't throw out the wrappers! If you do tend to put your hand in the candy bowl, by having the wrappers in front of you rather than throwing them in the trash, you will more likely stop eating at fewer bars when you see how much you've eaten!

kind of confused is your current weight 157.2,because your weight last week is 157.I'm sorry about your finger I would have panicked if I sliced my finger stuff like that freaks me out! I hope it gets better and you have no pain-good luck

Sorry - last week I was 157ish all week - hovering between 157.8 and 158.8 

HELP!!!!  I have been stuck for the past three days, scale not moving even an ounce.  Any ideas to get it moving again?

I hope it's not too late to join... I want to lose 10-13 lbs before Christmas.

I have a tonsillectomy booked for the 10th though so I won't be able to eat properly for at least a week, which might be cheating a bit LOL.
