Checked out some of the recipes posted here on CC and have a few I could try, however wonder if anyone else might have a good suggestion.

I'd like to make a whole wheat thin crust pizza tonight for dinner - the thinner the better - and I'll load it up with homemade tomato basil sauce,  veggies and dust with cheese.

The crust is the concern however... I want something EXTREMELY low cal / fat because I want a couple pieces! :)

I have whole wheat and regular flour, yeast, honey, spinach, pumpkin seeds, barley, but no flax or bran/other grains... would love a whole wheat and spinach version if such a thing exists!

:)

Anyone got anything for me?

I haven't tried this recipe yet, but it got really great reviews on the website.  Might be worth trying.  I always read some of the reviews to see if there are any tips that might be helpful.

I make mini-pizzas with Thomas' 100-Calorie English Muffins, some marinara sauce, turkey pepperoni and skim mozzerella cheese and sometimes with some sliced bell peppers too. Put 'em in the oven at about 450 for just 6 minutes or so....very yummy! You could have two english muffin pizzas (4 pieces) for a reasonable amount of calories...

since flour, even whole wheat has over 400 calories a cup, there is no way you can make an "extreme" low cal pizza crust.  Instead of trying to make it, I'd use a whole wheat mini pita, split in half to make two thin rounds, toast them a little, then top and bake until the cheese is melted.  Sargento has a good reduced fat Italian blend that works great.

I use a whole wheat tortilla or half a whole wheat pita (like clairelaine suggested) as a pizza crust. It's a little less in calories than traditional crust. You can cut additional calories by using low fat cheese or soy cheese (but soy cheese doesn't quite melt the same way that "real" cheese does....so if you like crumbly cheese on your pizza, it would make a good substitute).

Load up with fresh veggies and you're set!

Why don't you try making "individual" pizzas with a potato-slice base instead of the bread.  One medium size potato has about 160 calories.  Just load the pizza toppings on top like a regular crust and bake in the oven as usual.  I usually microwave my potato before I slice it into 1/2 inch thick slices.  It's really delicious.

I know you wanted a recipe yesterday but unfortunately I just saw this today Tongue out but I will post this recipe and maybe you can use it in the future. I make homemade pizza often and I use this recipe. I roll the dough VERY thin and it makes 2 - 10-12" pizzas. I cut the pizza into 8 pieces which makes the dough around 110 calories a slice. It is so good! You can either bake it in the oven or on the BBQ which is my favorite. It doesn't rise a ton when you bake it but it still is pretty good. If you want it to rise more mix some white flour in for the whole wheat.

Here you go:

1 cup lukewarm water
2 tsp. (or 1 packet) dry yeast
2 tsp. sugar
3-1/2 cups  whole wheat flour
1 to 2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. salt

DIRECTIONS
Prep time: 15 minutes Rise time: 1-1/2 hours

Combine water, yeast and sugar in a small bowl. Let stand until bubbly. Place flour in a large bowl with olive oil, salt and yeast mixture. Stir well until combined. Gather mixture into a ball and transfer to a flour-coated board. Knead for about 10 minutes or until dough is very elastic. Place in a lightly oiled bowl; cover and let rise
until doubled in size, about 1-1/2 hours. Transfer to a lightly floured board and knead several times, then roll. Top as desired and let stand until dough is puffy. Slide onto a hot pizza stone or pizza pan and bake at 450°F for about 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and starting to brown around the edges.

I also use the whole wheat pitas to make pizza... it's very low cal and still tastes great!!!  you can top it with all the veggies you like and each person can make it the way they want!

I know you wanted this yesterday, but if you want to cut out bread products all together, you can make a pizza on a large portabello mushroom.  It's very yummy.

I love my faux pizzas.  I wet a tortilla then place in 350 oven till its crispy.  Add sauce and toppings.

My favorite tortillas are now the "light, Flat Out Wraps" large and only 90 cal.  I buy them at Walmart in the Deli area.  You can't get a thinner or lower cal crust than that.

I learned this from another CC member.
Not for this time, but if you're a mushroom fan i seriously recommend buying a big mushy cap (like the size of an english muffin or a little bigger actually) and microwaving it for 20 sec (until JUST soft) and using that as the base. I thought it would be nice, not as pizza, and obviously its not crisp, but with the right toppings it tastes DARN good (i use tomato paste, garlic, mixed herbs, sliced ham and pineapple and onion with some low-fat cheese and call it "hawaiian")

Gues its not REALLY pizza, but if you're more of a fan of the topping (mm, cottgae cheese spinach and garlic, pumpkin fetta and cashews) it really helps save cals for a thick juicy base
