Good morning Kim, DN.  Just here for a few minutes.  Have a little w*rk to do and then get ready for a garage sale.  My daughter is having one this afternoon, so I'm going to put a few things on.

I'm at home but woke up early.

Tucker already went back to bed.

Hope you're feeling a little better today.  Yeah, my cats have gone back to bed too.  Having a lot of storms here in Iowa today.  They've past here for now, but doesn't appear to be the end of them for the day yet.

Looks like it will be another nice day outside. Maybe if I feel good enough I'll be able to go out for a few minutes and enjoy it.

So far, so good for today. Keeping my fingers crossed.

So, I'm still on that job hunt adventure.  There just isn't much out there, even with my nursing degree.  So far I've only found 2 to apply for.  Unfortunately for me, the nearest city is 60 miles away, and small town jobs are just few and far between.

I'm sorry Lonestar! I must have missed your journal one day. I guess you got laid off? ((((Lonestar))))

Yes, about 3 weeks ago today.  I was getting burned out anyway.  I have severence thru August, but that will be here before we know it.  Hopefully I will have something in place before then.  I hate the thought of unemployment.  At least I still have my consulting.

I'm with Fred, I'll take saugage over bacon.

mmmm sausage, boy does that sound good.  darn you IG, now I'm going to be stuck on sausage. :(

Don't be too proud and not take unemployment. You pay into it so you deserve it. I've been laid off a few times. It sucks. I hope you find something soon.

So, the problem is that you can't move or can't move very far, right?  My sister's an EMT out in Seattle planning on going to nursing school, and you hear constant headlines about the nursing shortage...

In the cities, you do see shortages, however, my husband is looking at retirement in the next 5 years and we really don't want to move again.  Here we have a 20 bed hospital and two nursing homes and a local community college that graduates about 50 nurses a year.  Those entry level jobs go fast.  I have more of a Insurance/management background in nursing a little hard to find.  I've been doing this for 20+ years.....  It'll be ok.  I truely believe that the right job will come along.  Everything happens for a reason.
