i just want to shout out a huge THANK YOU to CC and ALL it's members!  this place is totally awesome!  i really never would have made it without you.  this site has more than a wealth of information for anyone to just come on here & learn how to lose weight and to just do it. 

i've seen people come & go.  i've seen people gaining and/or hitting plateaus.  that makes me really sad, because there is information for ALL of that on here.  when i see friends disappearing, i want to go hunt them down & just slap them around a little bit & put some sense back into their heads.  even an idiot can lose weight!  i was an idiot when i started.  :D 

i came here on 9/4 looking for a way to count calories.  i weighed 218.  i had already been planning on changing my lifestyle.  i knew that the only way for me to lose weight would be to change my lifestyle.  i took your quiz & it told me the same thing.  i thought that was amazing!  LOL  you guys knew me!  right from the start!

anyway, here i am!  LOL  84 pounds lighter!!!  i'm done losing.  it wasn't that hard.  my toughest battle was my family!  they were happy enough when i got down to 175, but i wasn't.  they accused me many times of going too far.  too far?  what?  nobody ever complained when i used to weigh 124 in 1980!  yeah, i'm 50 years old, and THANKS TO CC, i turned 50 at a healthy weight!!!  that was pure excitement right there! 

anyway, i didn't go too far.  i am 5'7" and stopping at 134.  that gives me a BMI of 21 which is healthy.  i still have a pretty big belly on me, some flab on my upper arms & on my upper thighs.  the ONLY reason for all that flab is because i didn't listen to you.  boy am i sorry now!  LOL  i should've toned up while losing weight.  too late now...  i mainly just walked.  i knew i should've been toning, and there is no excuse for that.

it's time to maintain now, and i'll do that right here, too.  i am really excited to be where i am & i can't hardly stand it!  i used to hate looking in the mirror or see myself in the window as entering a store.  now, i have to admit, i love it!  by the way, i can actually enter a store now with another person!!!  :D  you know, both going thru the doorway together?  instead of single file...  even just that is such a thrill!

i could go on & on about how royally awesome this change is, but i guess i should stop now, but seriously, THANK YOU ALL!!!

I'm soooo happy for you!!!  I'm glad you are stopping where you are.  You look wonderful fantastic sensational and YES  you ARE a hottie at 50!!!!

PS  i broke my plateau...i saw 148 on the scale for the first time!!!!!!

Congratulations snowfence on reaching your goal. Awesome loss! Hope you are planning on hanging around on the maintenance forum. I need all the inspiration I can get to keep from regaining. There is lots of help here too on keeping it off. Enjoy achieving and sticking with your goal.

thanks guys  :D  but seriously, CC did it!  i couldn't have done it alone. 

if anyone out there is having trouble getting started or just plain stuck, please don't be afraid to ask questions on the boards.  or at least go read them... 

there are probably alot of others with the same questions and/or alot of answers for any problem that you might have already.

there are alot of helpers out there & alot of knowledgable people.  listen to their advice.  LOL  even if the advice is "EAT MORE"...  seriously, give it a try.  you might be happily surprised!

and yeah, i'll still be around!  maintaining is forever.  :D  i still need this site to help me count & get my daily A.  unfortunately, it's not like i can eat 2000 calories a day now...

Why do you think it's too late to tone?  You can do that while you're maintaining...

oh, sorry!  lol  i didn't mean it is too late to tone.  it's just too late to tone while losing.

it's just that i could've been done losing & all toned up now, but i didn't listen to CC.  i had the info, but i didn't use it.

Start lifting some weights.  You'll see that flab melt.  Some of it will tighten up but the rest will disappear.  And who knows, you might decide to shed a few more pounds so you can ripped :)

hello! as for toning: i believe this is individual ane some people have loose skin even it they do strenth training, so you never know if it would not be the same:) do not be too hard on yourself, you have done a great job and are an inspiration for us. 

i am just past the middle of my journey, and i expect my family coming up with the "too far" idea soon, they have aready said that i am "big boned" after all (no. my bones are perfectly average and i do not see a reason why i should be obese lol:)
