I want to try a new cereal but dont know which one. What is everyones favorite?
I love my Post: Great grains, raisains and dates cereal
I ALWAYS get that
But it has far too many calories
Today I got the Kellogs Sultana Bran Crunch. I havent tried it yet. Has anyone else tried it? Is it good? i was thinking of returning it for my regular Post cereal.
PS: I am not a big fan of Special k.
Oatmeal.
kashi golean crunch. yum! i'm a slow eater, and i can't stand soggy cereal; this stuff has a nice, long eating window.
Oatmeal or Kashi Golean Crunch... I'll second the other two posters.
Personally I love the fiber one raisin bran. It tastes exactly like any other raisin bran but is a little better for you. I do love the Kashi brand though.
Honey Combs is actually a great cereal that has a lower calorie count with a decent size serving. Higher in calories, but tasty, is the Smart Start line of cereal. I find, however, these cereals to be more like $4-5 a box where my Honey Combs I can get for around $2.
I love FiberOne. Just a word of caution: some people have a hard time (at least the first few days) digesting all the fiber (i believe it has 13 gm of fiber per 1/2 cup) so you might want to mix it 1:1 with another cereal (i used rice krispies or cheerios). But it tastes soo good and it's good for you.
cheerios!
i love 'em all. the Banana Nut, Yogurt Burst, plain, Multigrain, and Honey Nut.
yummyinmytummy
I've recently rediscovered puffed wheat cereal ( I used to eat it as a kid!). One cup is only 70 calories so you can have a huge bowl of it, skim milk, splenda and a sliced banana in it for about 300 calories. YUM! Oh yeah, it's cheap too, about $1 a bag.
My favourite cereal is Nature's Path Multibran Flax with raisins, berries or bananas added in. Lately, I'm enjoying chocolatey chip Weetabix as a snack.
puffed whaet is the best cereal ever .. over here one serving is 55 cals ( 15 grams) i normally mix it with other cereals like weetabix.
the ebst cereal for me is one weetabix mixed with one serving of cornflakes with around 30 grams of an apple........ or oats mixed with cornflakes . or oats and weetabix mixed together..........i love cornflakes becauseyou get alot of it a standard serving (30 grams)
captain crunch all the way! especially the kind with the crunchberries or peanut butter.
not necessarily the most nutritious but it's relatively low cal and takes a while to eat (i usually eat it dry).
Another Kashi Go Lean Crunch advocate here. It is SO delicious, I would eat it as dessert anytime, and it is very filling. A great start to the day.
Another vote for Kashi Go Lean Crunch! (its also great on yogurt!)
hands down, special k fruit and yogurt. MMMMmmmmmm
kashi heart to heart of honey bunches of oats...yummy!
Honey Kix have about 120 cal per 33 grams and they are light so 33 grams is alot of cereal. I eat them without milk as a snack
Natures Path Optimum Slim. Its yummy!
Kashi Golean! Low in sugar and lots of protein!!
I have generally stopped eating pre-packaged cereal because they all have too much sugar in them. Almost every morning I make a quick bowl of oatmeal. I toss 3/4 cup of oatmeal, 1/2 cup skim milk, 1/2 cup thawed blueberries, and a package of Splenda into a bowl. I mix, nuke for 2min, and eat.
I really love Kashi Cinnamon Harvest. Not too many calories and super filling. It takes me all the way to lunch without feeling any hunger.
How come I’m not losing weight?
Your workout routine is commendable but you are eating too many calories to lose weight. 1500-1700 calories a day is more like a maintenance... Read more
