Tara or Mike would be the best "ambassidors" for the show.

I personally find Tara more likeable and relatable, plus she is much more open/candid about the emotional side of the struggle than Mike is - so my vote is Tara.

Im pretty glad Ron doesnt have a chance to win - he is all manipulation and gameplay, seems to have less drive to get healthy than the others.

Tara should win hands down!!  She won more challenges and stayed about the yellow line each and every week.  She also had the highest weight loss percentage.  She worked hard and her results proves it all.

Tara was there to lose the weight and everyone was jealous of all her hard work.  Look when everyone pounded the weight on her when they had the challenge with the blocks and then the second half all the weight was put in the race car that she had to pull!!!  She won that challenge by car lenghts!!

I have been cheering her on and I will be doing that tonight!!!

Another vote for Tara!

Tara all the way! I like Mike but I don't want him to win because I just can't stand his dad! I know that is so horrible. I want Tara to win because I LOVE her ambition. Its that drive inside her that I want so bad, if only to live my weight loss dreams through her accomplishments.

/Ramble! lol.

And for the at home prize I want Mandi to win. I was sad when she left, and think she will be strong. Other favorites are Sione, and Kristin. ahhhhhhh, only 12 more minutes until the show!

I want Tara to win, too. But I don't think she's going to keep the weight off. Because it seems, from what they show on the show, she exercises a LOT to keep her weight above the yellow line. I think she might get kind of tired of that eventually. And I think that once she gets back into the swing of REAL, normal life (not just 30 days) it'll be harder for her. Of course, that could probably be said for most of them. Its just something about her...

Just my thoughts...

Tara. She is a fighter and the strongest woman I have ever seen. Amazing inspiration.

And hey, I am watching it now. Am I the only one who thinks that Helen looks SCARY??? She became horribly skinny and her face becamejust awful.

I wanted Tara to win but Helen would have been my second choice.

Yay Helen!

I would have liked Mike to win... and Kristen to take the at-home prize. I didn't expect either of the people who actually won (and they both looked scary-thin to me...) But it was a very close-run competition.

One thing that annoys me - when they get to the last competitor in each bracket, they don't tell you the percentage of weight that they lost, just 'not enough'. Then they start jubilating on the winner. It's annoyingly incomplete.

I know...after all that, Tara was just totally ignored...and Helen did look too thin...but she was wanting to win 250k...I am sure she will put some back on so she looks good after...

Tara looked AMAZING...she lost the perfect amount it looked to me.

I thought Max (Mike's brother) would have lost more but now...

i didn`t care who won, but i was laughing at all the helen-haters last night :)

I felt terrible for Tara, I know it was the moment where everyone found out who the winner was but she did an amazing job and was just left standing there.

It was a three hour live show, you might have thought they would have timed it a little better than to announce the winner and then end the show 60 seconds later!  I agree that Tara deserved a little more time on camera after her weight was announced.  I wanted to see her percentage.

My favorites were Felipe and Sione so I didn't really care if Helen or Tara won. I was not a huge fan of Helen's, but I don't hate her.  I didn't want Mike or Ron to win.  Like the person above, I just can't stand Ron and so I didn't want his son to win either.  I admit that it is rather petty of me, but I cannot help it!!

If he loses weight now it'll cut his chances of getting on the show when he turns 18.

Wow.......That's INSANE!!!! Good for her and thanks pgeorgian for the figure on that

These were my thoughts about the finale this morning. I posted another thread then figured I'll just move it here...

Helen...

... I thought waaaay to  go Helen and was happy for her, but thought she looked and little like a bobble head. LOL! Now, I like Helen, so I am not a hater. Anywho, her new weight is currently the same as mine and I am 5'3". I was curious of her height and how that weight fell on her. She is 5'6"!!! Her BMI by C-C's tools is 18.9 (underweight) using her stats; 48, 5'6" and 117 lbs.

I am a little weirded by that fact. So many people are motivated by that, but I am told my goals are too low. I'm confused. Not saying that it's healthy, unhealthy...just that weight loss can't be rewarded under one context and questioned in another.

I did have a brief moment of sympathy for Tara as well. I really wanted her to win and when she didn't and I realized Helen was classified as underweight and rewarded...I kinda cringed. What are we really rewarding???

Did anyone else notice that or think this too? Undecided

I'm really disappointed Tara didn't win.  I felt she was the one who deserved it the most since she CONSISTENTLY lost weight during the whole season.  Helen looked like she had lost 40 pounds for the finale.

I was surprised Jerry won the at-home prize - I really thought it would be Kristen.  I am happy for him though and I thought it sent a very powerful message to everyone trying to lose weight... no matter your age or your medical condition you CAN lose weight and get healthy.  Very inspiring.

I find it quite ironic that had Tara been eliminated in week 16 or 17, she would probably have won the $100,000 prize...  I would really like for the top 3 to all get a reward for making it that far.

Also, a chime in that Jerry did look strange all skinny. You could see muscle though, so you knew he wasn't wasting away. He was so modest about the win too. Good for him. What a seemingly sweet guy. Mike looked great too as did his dad! Mike will definitely be getting some dates now.

Congrats to all of them...

According to the Today show, she lost 139 lbs.  155 was her weight at the end for a percentage loss of 53.35%

nope.  she needed to lose more than 160 to win, and she lost 155.

edit: your math skills suck.  50% is half, right.  139 is less than half of 294.
