Wanted: Competitive person

Quote  |  Reply

So I am a really competitive person and I typically do better with weight loss when I have someone to compete with. By compete I don't mean pounds wise its more of an exercise thing.

So if anyone is interested let me know, what I am looking for is someone to post with everyday about how much they exercised and how many calories they burnt.

Hi all!  Tuesday I didn't log, but I did get some cardio in.  I did Cardio X from the P90 X series.  Looks like I will be running a little later today because it is a little under 90 degrees right now.  (Actually that's pretty cool for Miami)  : )

  • Carlyn and Nevarren- Impressive!!!
  • Ohhhh Litza if only 90 was "cool" lol its 50 here in Indiana right now, and that's what we consider to be cool, I love when we got to FL and the weather person tells people to bundle up because its going to be a low of 70.

I am not sure how many calories I burnt today but I was out walking/jogging/playing in the park with my niece for two hours tonight.  I am guess its was probably around 400 calories if not more.

Weekends off too so I'll see everyone on Monday. Have a good weekend!

Walked (at a rapid pace) at the park for 60 minutes enjoying the heat and slight breeze!  About 400 calories

Hello all hope everyone had a great weekend I did the Colts had an amazing come back today... highlight of the weekend!!!

Today I took at 45 min walk burnt about 249 calorie

Hope everyone had a good weekend. I only did 30min walk this morning; on a fast/cleanse so I can't really overdo in exercise.

200 calories.

Carlyn- Good luck with the fast... how long are you doing it for?

Vigorous walking for an hour burnt 381 calories, I need to get back on the exercise bike (To whomever make sure I do the bike for the rest of the week)

Sammie - Do the bike today!!! :)

My fast was juice and whey soy protein and I had originally decided to do it for three days. I did two and broke it this morning. I felt okay but just wanted to chew something so I ate a banana. I think the hardest part was making food for the family and not eating it. I definately feel better and it gave me a new appreciation for the things that I do eat. (i.e. new aprpeciation for fruit and vegetables and I could care less about junk food right now) We'll see how long that lasts. And I get to be really proud of myself for making it two days. I have seen people do them for a few weeks and certainly have a new respect for them. Well, I got back on the exercise train this morning.

3mile walk/jog

45min

388 calorie

Monday---jogged 30 minutes (+/- 400 calories), 10 minutes of plyometrics (+/- 120 calories).

On my way to do stairs at a park!  Beautiful day outside here!!!!  : )

Good Job Litza and Carlyn!

Carlyn I am impressed you did the fast for 2 days, did you get the hunger pains by doing that or did it keep you pretty satisfied? And thanks for reminding me and I did the bike :)

Boooo it rained tonight so I didn't get to take my walk that p*ssed me off... oh well I will just have to work harder tomorrow.

Thanks for the encouragement, and good job to everyone who posted over the weekend!  I saw quite a few 300+ calories burned posts.

Running

1.26 miles Saturday (109 calories)

1.87 miles Sunday (166 calories)

Nothing Monday

5 miles today (for a whopping 610 calories!  I celebrated with sweet potato fries Tongue out)

I'm so proud!  I've never run 5 continuous miles in my LIFE!  I was doing 3 regularly for a while, then stopped for 10 days and got out of whack.  When I started up again, I was trying to maintain my old pace and couldn't get very far (as evidenced by the smaller numbers).  So today I decided to drop my pace way down, from around 8'30" miles to around 11'00" miles...and I made it 5 miles!  I got tired around mile 3, but pushed through with the help of CNN, some water, and the floor-length mirror right covering the entire wall next to the treadmill.

Nevarren 5 miles that is amazing! Congrats keep up the good work!!! Smile

Man the most I have been able to do is 4miles but it took me an hour. Great Job Nevarren!!

Sammie- I was really surprised because I never got hungry. Not once. I figured I would be starving but every two hours I was either drinking a shake or drinking juice so I guess I never had time to get hungry. I did, however, get a "fasting" headache. It isn't very painful but extremely annoying.  Oh and Do the BIKE today. :)

So, this morning I jogged and then walked for 30min. Total:

3.5 miles

55 minutes

451 calories

Right on track everyone keep it up!

I did the bike again today thanks for staying on me Carlyn! That's good that you didn't get the hunger pain and I guess a headache is a small price to pay.

32 min

81.5 fat calories

261 calories

4.72 miles (I wish I would have went 5, but my knee said no)

20 Min walk (not taking my niece anymore) 85 calorie

Where is everyone today... I am never the first one to post Smile

I did the bike for 32 mins

4.61 miles

80.1 Fat calories

256 Calories

Walk/jog 60 mins

335 Calories

Total calories: 591

Going dancing later tonight!

Good job on doing the bike. I have been cleaning (majorly) the house all day so I didn't get on much. Just now caught up all my logging.
