That for women....the best place to get workout gear is Marshalls. At least in CT it is. Shorts average about $7, and shirts/tops average about $12. I got my gym bag there too for $12. It's awesome. Thought I'd share the knowledge! : )

I still prefer WalMart.

Oh, that reminds me. I should have said all the stuff they have there is name brand stuff. I went to wal-mart, but they have their own brands and they weren't holding up as well. I got a pair of Nike, Adidas, and Champion shorts for $5 a piece, and my gym bag was Adidas.

As a seamstress, let me tell you that brand-named items don't always hold up better than generic.  But hey, maybe someone else will be interested in Nike and Adidas for five bucks.

That's good!

5 bucks would be better.. ;)

target can be good if they have sales.  I'll have to check marshall's out though-  thanks!!!!  27 more days and I'll have to get back to the gym.....I have to find new work out clothes becuase my old ones won't fit from all the pregnancy weight I've gained!!!

Yep! I just got a FANTASTIC pair of cropped workout pants (because I'm 5'0" and have trouble finding workout clothes that fit right) from Marshalls for $12. They're the most comfortable workout anything that I've found. And they wick up moisture like nobody's business! I had my traditional cranberry juice and club soda after a workout the other day and accidentally spilled some on my pants... I couldn't even feel it. The pants were completely dry.

<3 Marshall

I have some workout stuff from there, too.  As long as you have patience to sort through the racks, definitely worth it.

Be careful with the quality on these... wherever you buy them. I got some cheap workout shorts at Target and they are a "brand" - like Champion or something. They are HORRIBLY itchy. I would not have guessed this based on feeling the material at the store. I can't wear them, it's a wasted of money.

**I usually prefer synthetic over cotton because it "wicks away moisture" better, like running shorts etc. But this can be dangerous when going cheap... I would prolly stick to cotton when buying cheap, from now on**

I tend to prefer Adidas and Nike soccer shorts to Champion running shorts especially when it comes to wicking away moisture. : )

I'm with Cellulite wallyworld sells danskin stuff and its been very good quality long lasting and fits the best for me.  I also get their socks that have arch support woven in the fabric its great for my plantar Fascitis.

I got some good workout shirts at penny's on sale they are very nice too - just got to watch those sales!
