HELP!!

I am stuck, dear CC friends. I seem to do well for 2 or 3 days and then fall off or a day or two. My husband and I have had an unbelievable amount of stress thrown our way the past month. While I know working out/eating well would make this easier on myself, I'm using it as an excuse to be sluggish and eat bad things for myself.

I am looking for a small group (I'm gonna max us out at 15 people) REALLY having a hard time motivating themselves. I'd like this to be a forum for people like myself who find 1800 calories/day a challenge, can't stay on the wagon for more than a few days at a time, and struggle to exercise on a regular basis. I've tried challenges and just can't seem to stick with them or I feel like I'm not doing as well as everyone else and tend to give up. Once we have our core group, let's post on a daily basis and try to help motivate one another. We can have weekly weigh-ins if everyone agrees that would be a good thing.

I am 5'3", 225 pounds with a goal weight of 150. I'm 29 years old, married, and stepmom to an 8 year old girl. I am very out of shape, struggling with plantar fasciitis, and need to improve my blood sugar because I am on the cusp of developing type 2 diabetes if I don't improve things.

So, HELP! Who will join me?

Well one of the things I'm working on is to come on here everyday so having a small group will keep me accountable I think.  I am also having a hard time staying motivated though I must say I had a wonderful surprise this morning when I finally got up the nerve to step on the scale.  Lost 11 lbs since August which was the last time I weighed myself.

Well so far I guess it's just you and I Kt.  Others will join soon I'm sure.  You and I are about the same weight.  I'm 5'3" and 220 lbs right now but when I started this I was 245.  Like you I am constantly losing motivation because I lose very slowly usually and I hit plateaus often.  So maybe we can help each other out.  What do you do for exercise.  I have a treadmill, a stationary bike, a real bike, weight machine, and a gazelle...oh and one of those step thingys.  You'd think I'd be skinny with all that available but no motivation.  I really must start working out again. 

I am not having a real problem with the diet just yet. i weigh 226 right now and i want to get down 150. My MAIN issue is getting up and exercising! I am on a 1440 calorie/day diet. I started September 15th and I weigh myself on Mondays. I have lost 4lbs already so that was a great boost. When do you guys exercise and what do you do for exercise?

I'd like to join if thats alright.

Quite like yourself, ive been experiencing a bit of stress this past year (my best friend tried to commit suicide), and it's affected me adversly.

I'm 5'10 and 183 pounds, and id like to be around 150, but for the sake of setting fair goals, ill say 160 for now.

I'm a full time college student living with a roommate who eats 24/7 and never gains a pound, and im part of a group of frriends who spends multiple nights a week going out and partying.

I really hope you guys accept me to your group. I know i'm a bit younger than some of you; but we're all struggling at the same issue and i'd really like a group of people i can support and be supported by.

We will gladly embrace those of any age into our group!!  I just want to keep it under 15 because if it's too large a group we might have a hard time staying in touch with everyone.

I would love to join your group.  I haven't been on cc for a few days & when I saw your post & read it, it was like I was reading my journal.  I am older than most of you I think, 57.  Have struggled with weight my entire life but the older I get the harder it gets.  I gained alot of weight several years ago when I was on antidepressants.  I'm off them now, but the weight hangs on.  I am 5'2" and 225.  Would love to get back to my prechildren weight of 150.  However at this point I'd be happy to loose anything. My highest was 236.  Seems I go up & down the same 10-15 lbs. for years now. 

I live in Alaska & try to walk outdoors most days.  I have a treadmill when the weather gets too bad & I have hand weights, thats all.  I love walking outdoors most because of the beauty & fresh air, and my dog loves the walks too.

I will definately check back in to this post & wish all you ladies well.  Today was the first day in ages I actually posted in my food log.  I'm like you, 1800 cal just adds up too fast. I love the sugar, thats my biggest downfall.

 

UGH! I am doing Monday weigh ins and I weighed myself this morning and I have acually gained a pound!!! Dieting is so frustrating.
