Just what I wanted for the summer!
Bloating, swelling, depression, and weight gain!
And when my does end up coming back, it's going to be even heavier than I'm used to!
Oh the joys of hormones and medication...ugh.
Sorry, just wanted to get that off my chest...anyone have tips for coping with this sort of thing? Because right now I am just unimpressed and sort of feel like dumping the bottle and continuing without my period...made life easier, if we're being honest.
no suggestions, just wondering what is in the bottle you feel like dumping.
Yeah your post wasn't very clear but from what I can decode, you are now on hormones, to give you a regular period, but the side affects are causing your weight gain and moodiness?
If there isn't some medical reason for you being on the medication (like trying to conceive) I the heck with it. But I don't have all the facts *shrugs*
I disagree with amayou - not menstrating is really horrible for a female and causes alot of other complications. I say try to stick it out. If it is hormones that means that you shouldn't be on them that long. In the end you'll benefit from having your period - regardless of whether you want children now or ever.
Are you taking progesterone? Because that helped me with my period once, and made me also feel like I was preggers (depressed and my boobs hurt like a mo' fo').
Whatever you are taking sounds like it's a short term thing, and your health is important- and having a normal cycle is VERY important. Exercise, not eating a lot of salt, and treating yourself to something nice (facial, manicure, etc.) are good ideas when you are feeling bloated or down.
Or, if your name here is referring to the Flight of the Concords, I recommend watching some of their episodes, etc. Always makes me feel better. :)
It's progesterone, and yeah, it is temporary...it's just kind of a less than stellar start to the summer haha. I'm going to keep taking it, because as annoying as the short term side effects are, better than discovering in the future that I can't have children because I was too lazy/selfish to take care of myself now.
Also, thanks for the suggestions...I feel like I am going to be spending a lot more time with my friends Bret and Jemaine while I'm on these :).
how long are you taking them for? If its only for like 7 days or 10 days its really not a big deal - nothing permanetely will happen to you or your body. Dont worry you can do it! It is for the best. And once you are done with these few weeks, you can go and enjoy your summer even more!
