Wanted: A support buddy

Ok, here is the sccop. I am a mother of 3.  A 5yr old son, a 23 month old daughter and a 15 week little boy. Yes, I am busy.

I made the mistake of thinking that since I knew I was going to get pregnant again after my daughter sooner rather than later that I didn't want to work hard to loose the baby weight knowing i would gain it all again. MAJOR MISTAKE! So now I am at the delivery weight of when I had my 1st and I am un happy.

I have always been small and this is so not comfortable for me. I dont' know if I am weird or what but I must be an exception to the breastfeeding weightloss plan. I have B/F all my kids and never lost and pound!

So I need someone who can help keep me motivate and to share ideas with. Also who understands that us busy mom's sometimes have our slip ups and bad days, or days where we are too busy to chat and don't get upset with one another. I would like to share recipe ideas for the whole family.

See I don't want to be on a diet I just want to eat healthy or the things that arent' so healthy, in moderation. But I need to loose weight. Is it possible to do both?

I have a major addiction, yes it is an addiction, to sweets. So I am trying to create a win/win on that. I can still satisfy the craving without the calories usually involved. If anyone is willing I am ready! Cannot wait to meet you!

Hey, you are a very busy mommy!

I have a 2 year old little boy who has just started to have HUGE amounts of energy...like, running in the house, jumping, dancing to music that only he hears etc. (He is almost 28months).

I went from 156ish to 220 the day I gave birth. I lost 10-15 pounds that day, and managed to gain that back plus more and was weighing in at 245 last xmas. Wow...right?

I breastfed until he was 18 months and I did not lose one pound! Not one pound! So, if you are an exception...so am I. I think that you lose weight BF IF you do not replace those calories burned....but, breastfeeding made me hungry and I would eat, so there ya go.

We can totally be pals! Feel free to add me and PM me any time!!!

Also, you can indulge your sweet tooth....just remember everything in moderation!

I started counting my calories....not really a diet, per-say, and I have lost 35 pounds to date. So, you can definitely do this!

Hi!

I am so glad that I found this site! I am a mommy of two....two little girls. A two and a half year old and a 4 month old. I am also a bfing mom...  I breastfed my first for 13 months and am still working on the second of course. I too am one of the few apparently according to some moms that did not lose any weight from bfing. I guess its because we sit on our ars and do it all day long.....hahaha.

I really would like a support partner too. I just satarted my diet Aug 1st. I am so excited about it too!(so far)

I am counting calories and trying to do a little exercise. I am trying to eat about 1500 calories daily...which I think is ok while bfing dont u? I do situps everyday and use 3 pound arm weights every other day because gosh are my arms getting fat! I try to do some tae-bo about 2-3x a week and walk when I can.

A little about me...Well im 28 and am 5'5 and weigh about 180. I was 135 before I had my first and thats what I want to aim for....but I would be happy with 150.

I would really like to have someone other than my hubby to talk to about weight loss as he hasnt gained a pound since high school! So if anyone would like to be my buddy I d like to hear from you....just message me....Also my email is robdashiell@yahoo.com.

I am a new mom and I was able to lose weight by nursing...unfortunately my supply began running low so I switched to formula.  I haven't been able to lose weight since.  I gained 48 lbs during my pregnancy and have lost 20.  I plan to lose an additional 20-30 more with the help of this site.

I'll be your buddy! It's nice having support :)  I also just started Aug 1st and am really excited!

Hello to all!

There is another discussion about breatfeeding and weight loss. I was able to find some really good advice there. One way to loose weight while breastfeeding is to take your pre-pregancy calorie intake, and add about 200-300 calories to that. My doctor told me that at my post natal appointment.

I wasn't able to exercise very much because I was working and raising my little boy while my husband was in Korea, and breastfeeding was my sole source of weight loss! I was able to drop about 25 lbs in about 10 weeks. Really fast, I know, but that's what happened. I had to nibble through out the day. No time to sit down and eat a big meal! I've been stuck at my current weight for about 3 weeks now, but I'm not stressing. I've started to wean my baby, so I just chalk it up to that and just keep pluggin away at my diet plan.

Hi! I'd like a support buddy too...

I have only 1 child, almost 3 yrs, and I want to try again (NOW), but can't do it at this weight. I was 155-160 when I got pregnant (a bit heavy for me), and 210? at delivery. I lost loads, and was down to 165, but am back up to 175-180 now. :(

I breastfed my sweet girl until she was two, and thought it would melt off after that when I had my hormones back to myself. Silly!

I also want to eat sensibly, healthy, and love love sweets too much. I work at home, and find the isolation stressful. I'd love some companionship to share positive support!
