wanting opinions

ok so today i randomly decided to get a drastic haircut (moms owns a hair salon, was sitting in it all day). I want to know peoples opinions of the new look, i have pics of before/after in my profile. the one with bangs is the new one.

the rest of my hair is still long, plan it keep it that way and grow it even more. i had an a line bob a year ago and im sick of short hair now, plus i dont want to look like "the style" or what you'd expect, i.e. short hair with it.

Did you cut the rest of it, or just the bangs - I couldn't really tell from the picture...

The bangs look very anime, and dramatic, and it looks like they make your eyes look bigger.  Makes you look like you mean business.   From reading your profile - probably the look you were going for.  I might pair the bangs with a sharp bob about chin length.

As far as which one I like the best, well, I'm an old fashioned girl, and I don't like severe styles.  Just my thing.  And I'm not really a hair person anyway.  But I'm good at giving opinions...

I think before was better but once the bangs grow a bit I think it'll look fine. Like the other poster said, they're really severe, shorter hair is better matched with bangs like that, in my opinion. 

Yup, i like the before better also. I think alibsam is right, it would go a lot better with shorter hair.

i don't mind the look, but i hope the haircut was free, because it's crooked.

I like the "before" look more, but of course that is considering that I like to see the forehead. But also there is the fact that I am quite tall so if your asking a guy perspective, when with a girl who I tend to be snuggling (hugging) because its chilly outside so the forehead is an easy target to be kissed and to spread warmth through by the breath induced from whispering in closed quarters.

 You like to warm up your partner by breathing on their forehead....  thats not weird at all yea your weird :P

As for the original question, before

I like the new look. I have a fringe too, so my only comment is that I think they tend to look better when they are not so straight (as in straightened with irons). An hour or so after I've done mine it looks better, a bit more natural. Unless you are going for the really dramatic sharpe edged look.

If you aren't too sure yourself, I wouldn't worry, it'll grow really quick. You can always pin it back if you decide to grow it out.

Your bangs are REALLY straight across. If you got them cut to be a little jagged I think it would look better. Also, the length would probably be more flattering if you got some long and medium layers put in and styled the bottom of your hair with a round brush to give it some volume if you want to leave the length. The following picture is one with a shorter hairstyle but I think the bangs would look great on you.

thanks for opinions everyone, i also posted a less neatened version of the hair. i think ill keep them how they are, iver never been the type to go with what everyone likes. plus they cover my super shiny forehead z.z

I like the bangs. I think you should pair them with the 50's glam make-up---cat eye and red lipstick. That would look so cool.

Hey. You have similar features to Michelle Trachtenberg. Has anyone ever told you that? Just curious. I suggest that you try similar hair styles/cuts to her for fun.

I think the bangs are cute on you just a lil on the short side side,imo. I don't think that was a mistake though. It's the style you were going for so just up your makeup as others suggested. It's cute. It will be even more so with the application of a little retro/glam makeup.

Personally: I think it will look even better as the bangs grow a bit too. :)

ive always thought Michelle Trachtenberg was really pretty thanks for comparing me to her :D. im so very good at doing retro glam 50's make up but ill try and if it looks good enough ill post it in my profile
