Who wants to start a new round of 30 Day Shred with me!?
So I'm jumping the gun a little, cause I don't actually have it yet ;o) But I thought this way we'd have a couple days for people to rev up, see the topic, jump on board etc. and then we could all start it together! February doesn't have 30 days anyway, so we don't have to start at the first of the month :o)
On day 1, we can post:
Starting weight:
Goal weight (at the end of 30 days):
Goal weight (final goal weight):
Calories to eat each day and deficit:
Measurements (chest, below breast, waist, hips, individual thighs, calves, upper arm and lower arm, or whatever else you want to measure):
Anything else you want to add! Anyone interested? I heard this is a lot of fun but difficult, so I'm looking for any support I can get! The idea is to do it EVERY day for 30 days and post real results! I'll post when I have the movie and we can pick a day to start - sound good to anyone?
Great idea!! I'm already doing this (on day 15 today) but I want to encourage you all not to give up and you will get results!!! This DVD is worth every penny! It is very hard at first, but get easier every day!!! I already see a difference in my body and I'm down 5 pounds which is huge.

Quick question for you guys - where do you buy a tape measure for body measurements?
The best place I've found is either WalMart in the fabric department or at a fabric store. I don't have a tape measure myself so I have to use a string and then measure the string lol. The joys of living abroad.

I've been doing it off and on for about a week. All I can say is...
Owwwww! I figure I'll do 10 days at level 1 and then move up.

What do you guys set your activity level to when you are doing this? Let's say otherwise you are sedentary...do you leave it at sedentary or would this bring you up to lightly active? Or more? Typically I'll just leave it at sedentary and then log exercise but since it's an every day exercise I was just curious.
I have this DVD and have been doing it on and off, but haven't done it 30 days straight yet. Maybe I'll give it a go.

I don't have the video yet either. I've been thinking about ordering online but that may take longer and I would like to start MOnday, so I might just pick it up at a store. Does anyone know which store I can pick it up at? Like wal mart? or someplace else?

It needs whatever weights you're going to feel comfortable using. I have 2 and 3 pound weights, but I think I need to get some 5 and 8 pound weights, since those are what my trainer uses in our sessions.
I've had this DVD for months, but had only used it once, haha. So, I saw this thread and it motivated me to give it another try. I've been doing 30-45 mins/3-5 days a week on the elliptical for the last 2-3 weeks and have lost 5 lbs so far.
I did Level 1 of the 30 Day Shred just now and it kicked my ass! Seriously, it's hard! It's a great combo of cardio, strength and abs, all done in back-to-back circuits. It's good to have someone to push you thru the hard parts, even if it is through the TV, haha. I am going to start using this video, not everyday, but maybe 2-3 times a week, and use the elliptical the other days.
Oh, and here are my stats:
28 yr old female, 5'5", starting weight: 175, current weight: 170, goal weight: 140

I've had this DVD for awhile. But I've only done it a couple times, I do Turbo Jam most of the time. But I love this DVD, I know if I was dedicated to actually do it then it will have great results! I bought mine at Walmart for 9 bucks. You're supposed to use around 3 to 5 pound weights or more if you want but since I don't have any yet I've been usin water bottles! lol.

Totally in. Actally yesterday was my first day and I made my mother start it today.
On day 1, we can post:

Measurements: chest- 34 waist- 29, hips- 42, individual thighs- 22.5, calves-15, upper arm- 12
So, apparently this video really is good, because after doing just Level 1 on Saturday, I woke up on Sunday and my calves, quads and shoulders were sooooo sore!! I was going to do it again tonight, but I'm still pretty sore, so I'm not sure if I should do elliptical today instead, or just power thru the pain and try the video again?
JMD- I've done the video before but I only took 1 month off and I did it the day before yesterday and I was extremely sore. I did it again yesterday anyway, and my soreness has gotten worst. :(
I still however plan on doing it tonight, and perhaps 30 minutes on the elliptical or treadmill. I don't know how i'm going to get through it today though.

As far as start date, I know for me I can't start til I get it - I live in Africa and my mom shipped it to me almost 2 weeks ago I think so I should get it soon. But it does look like others have started so...I'll post when I get it and we can have an "offical" date or people can just start when they want to and we'll all be here to support each other through the next month or so!
FWIW, I plan on doing the full program - every day for 30 days, soreness or not (ha ha I say that now, right?) because I gather that is how the program was designed. I'd love to see how many of us can do the full program together!!!
