Who wants to start a new round of 30 Day Shred with me!?

So I'm jumping the gun a little, cause I don't actually have it yet ;o)  But I thought this way we'd have a couple days for people to rev up, see the topic, jump on board etc. and then we could all start it together!  February doesn't have 30 days anyway, so we don't have to start at the first of the month :o) 

On day 1, we can post:

Starting weight:

Goal weight (at the end of 30 days):

Goal weight (final goal weight):

Calories to eat each day and deficit:

Measurements (chest, below breast, waist, hips, individual thighs, calves, upper arm and lower arm, or whatever else you want to measure):

Anything else you want to add! Anyone interested?  I heard this is a lot of fun but difficult, so I'm looking for any support I can get!  The idea is to do it EVERY day for 30 days and post real results!  I'll post when I have the movie and we can pick a day to start - sound good to anyone?

Okay!  I just got my copy in the mail!  Should those of us that haven't started set a date?  Maybe Feb. 5th? Unless you guys are ready, we can start tomorrow (or today even...I already worked out but whatever, what's one more workout).

I'm a little wary looking at the front where it says "Lose up to 20 pounds in 30 days!"  Hrm, um, yeah, no I'm thinking not.

I'm going to post my stats tomorrow then!  Also, those who are or have done it, how are you logging it under your activity log?  Circuit training?  Vigerous calesthenics?

I log mine under circuit training.

If I can find myself some weights I will start Feb 5 too.

You can record the video either under circuit training or Vigerous calesthenics since they both burn 522 per hour.  I started doing the routine on the first so I'm 3 days in already.  I decided to check my weight this morning to see my progress since I've started and I have weight gain of 1.2lbs.  I'm going to keep going though.  I do the video then I follow it up with between 30-50 minutes on either the treadmill or the elliptical.

If you can't find weights, grab something heavy from around the house!  I don't have weights so I'm trying to figure out how much rocks in socks weigh lol.

Rocks in socks is GENIUS!!

You can also try: water bottles filled with water or sand or even dry beans, rice, sugar...almost endless possibilities... Canned goods are an option as well.

I can tell you that 2 1/2 cups of white rice is one pound and 2 cups of granulated sugar is 1 pound. If you put it in a bottle (or a zipper baggie) you can still use the food.

Day 1, Level 1 down.  Can I die now??  Here are my starting stats, I'll post the "results" stats on March 6th (day 31).  LET'S DO IT!!!


Starting weight: 181.8

Goal weight (final): 159

Goal weight (end of 30 days): 175 <--wishful thinking!

Calories:  Aiming for a 750 to 1000 calorie deficit a day, eating around 1400 cal.

Measurements:

chest = 40.7

below breast = 35.4

waist (natural) = 34.6

waist (belly button) = 41.7

hips = 46.5

Right thigh = 25.2

Left thigh = 25.6

Right calf = 16.9

Left calf = 17.7

Right  upper arm = 14

Left upper arm = 14.4

Right lower arm = 9.8

Left lower arm = 10.2

 

Count me in! I just finished my third day and level one is sloooowly becoming slightly easier! LOL!

I'd like to lose 10 pounds in the 30 days but if I can get the 20 that it claims, even better!

Anyone up for a monday start date?  I should have my video by then but I work all weekend so I'd rather start fresh on Monday..  New week new woman, lol

Well, I did it today.

I was tempted by platinumbutterfly's post and starting Monday...then realized I was just being lazy and there was no other reason why I hadn't already started...so I did it. I pushed myself harder today than the other times.

I also did my pushups off the arm of the couch instead of 'girly-style'. I read that it's better and you work your core more that way.

So, I'm in like Flynn!

Are we checking in each week with how we're doing or just at the end with final results?

Well I started today. (I've done it a couple times before but I started the actual challenge today)

Starting weight:185 (rough estimate b/c I have no scale yet :/ )

Goal weight (at the end of 30 days): 175

Goal weight (final goal weight):136-140

Calories to eat each day and deficit:1400;1000

Measurements:

Chest: 39   Below breast: 36.5   waist: 35   hips: 42.75   R thigh: 27.5        ;       &n bsp; L thigh: 26.75   R calf: 15.5   L calf: 15.25   R arm: 14.5   L arm: 14

Alright, I'm going to start doing this every day starting tomorrow!

Starting weight: 108-110

Goal weight: 108-110 (not planning on intentionally losing any weight; looking to lose inches)

Calories to eat each day and deficit: 1200-1500 and slowly increasing.

Measurements: chest- 33.5, waist-25, hips-33.5, individual thighs-20.5,
calves-13.5, upper arm 9.5
I sort of condensed some measurements because I'm just that lazy.

Woohoo go us!  Yeah I was the same, thinking Oh I"ll just wait until XX day and start, but there was no reason for me NOT to, so I did it.  I'll be doing my second workout in about 10 min.  I did wall pushups at a big angle because I don't like girly pushups either.

I figured we can check in when we want to...I know I'll probably post fairly often to update  my progress (scale wise) and how I'm feeling, especially when I get to Level 2 and (hopefully) 3.  I'd love to see how everyone is doing too.  Lets use this time and space to support each other when we're feeling like OMG I just can't do another day.

FWIW today I don't feel all that sore which tells me I slacked off yesterday and didn't realize it lol.  So today I guess I need to ramp it up a bit - I want to feel it!!!

I weighed myself when I woke up tonight just out of curiousity. I have been doing the dvd for 3 days now and have lost 3 pounds!

That puts my grand total at 20 pounds since I started eating better on New Year's Day!

Go you!  My scale said I lost .6lbs from yesterday but I don't usually "count" my weight lost or gained unless I've maintained it for two weeks because my body goes up and down a lot.  I attribute part of it for me to cutting more calories - I'd been doing about a 500 calorie deficit but it really wasn't doing much for me, so I've cut now to more of a 750 to 1000 cal. deficit. 

i am buying a new scale and going to see if wonderful super target has the video! i am looking forward to progress! 

Just finished day 4. How is everyone else doing? Kiss

Is anybody doing anything along side their 30-day shred video.  I usually either go on the treadmill or elliptical or sometimes both for about 30 mintues or I'll do till I burn 300-500 calories. Yesterday I only did the video because it was getting late and I wanted to go to sleep.  Today however, I am going to do the video then go on the treadmill for 20 mintues then the elliptical to burn approximately 300 cal.  Unfortunately, when I weighed in this morning, I went from 152 to 153.4 so we shall see how it is going.

 

I've already started but I'd love to join if that's ok.

Starting weight: 112 lbs

Goal weight: lose the fat from around my hips/butt and tone up, whatever the scale says at that point is fine

Calorie intake: 1200-1500 depending on exercise level

Stats: 5'-3.5", 28 years old, chest: 31.5, waist: 26.5, hips: 37.5 (raging pear!!), thighs: 21, upper arms: 11

I've been doing the 30DS every second day for the last two weeks, tonight is Day 9. No changes in my weight or measurements yet but it's gotten significantly easier and I'm actually able to do whole sets of pushups instead of wimping out like I did on Day 1! I can't wait to move on to level 2 because I'm getting a little tired of the repetition.
