A spicy, tasty, high-protein, high-fiber snack!

Recipe Ingredients for Wasabi Chickpeas

15 ounces chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp wasabi powder
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil

Recipe Directions for Wasabi Chickpeas

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

  2. Drain and rinse chickpeas.

  3. Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil.

  4. Place chickpeas on cookie sheet and roast for 18 minutes; being sure to shake the chickpeas around two or three times during the roasting to avoid burning.

  5. Pour chickpeas into a bowl, add olive oil, salt and wasabi powder; mix thoroughly and turn back onto cookie sheet.

  6. Roast for an additional 5 minutes and then turn off the oven.

  7. Leave chickpeas in the oven until cooled (about 20-30 minutes).

  8. Store in ziplock bag once chickpeas are completely cooled (if there are any left to store!).
