I don't know what it is...now that i'm paying attention to what i'm eating, i'm ALWAYS hungry.  Before I watched my calories I would go until almost 3 or 4 before really starting to feel hungry.  Now I have lunch before I go to work because I'm starving.  How is it that now that I'm watching my calories, I'm hungry for more than I was before?!

Because you are working out...

I've been having the same problem. I have been eating:

Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. All those small meals and plenty of H2O keep me satisfied.
Oh I know how you feel. Since I started counting my calories, I am always planning my next meal or snack, even if I am eating. I seem to notice the hunger and being full more too. Maybe you should add more little snacks like nuts or yogurt to make sure you aren't famished when you eat a meal.
anyone know of any good snack foods that are low in cals?  maybe i can fill myself up on those.

I find eating more protien helps.I sometimes have cheese, boiled eggs or peanut butter for snacks. I used to be a low carber, lol
Thanks Kisya, I really appreciate that. I think I need to lower my carb intake aswell.  I'm at almost 70% with my protient intake only being a pidly 13%.  how much cheese do you eat?  I've never really eaten it not sprinkled over something...yum!  I had 1/2 an apple with a tbsp of peanut butter the otherday...reminds me of when I was a kid.

I sometimes eat too much cheese! I love it, so sometimes I just eat the cheese sticks or those cubes in a packet.
I'll fill up on pretzels, (18 for 110cal) or sugar free jello (5 cal per serv), or I'll try to curve it with sugar free popsicles (15-25cal).
I never felt hungry before either but I started feeling hungry before I started counting the calories.  Started when I was told to eat 3 small snacks and 3 small meals a day.  just 2 days of eating that many meals and my body started telling me I was hungry.  Doctor says alot of us start tuning that out when we are trying to loss for a long period of time on the starvation diets.

I agree, calorie counting can make some people (myself included) too obsessed with food. It exposes me to food way too much. I try to eat three meals per day with only a very light snack at the 4:00pm hour if needed. 6 meals a day puts me around food too much and just leaves me feeling constantly hungry.
