I've heard all sorts of ways to get in your water.  I find that if I set my mind to it, it can get done.  I think about the water washing away all my fat and it just makes me want to drink more!  Another thing I heard was that the more water you drink, the less water weight you retain!  That's great news for your relationship with that scale ;)

I recommend that first thing in the morning, drink eight ounces of water and then each time you eat, drink at least eight ounces of water with whatever you're eating.  You'll figure it out, but I can tell you this: once you start drinking more water, on the days that you may fall short, your body will tell you!  You'll end up DYING of thirst for it, so it becomes more natural.  You just have to get past that first phase of getting the water down.  You can do it!  It's SO good for you!!

This is very funny because I was going to post the same question! I will admit I am horrible at water. When I am working out water is fine..but during the day. Blah. Blah. Blah.

I decided yesterday that I drink way too much diet pepsi- that would be the only thing I drank all day. Sigh! So I started today taking a 32 oz container of water to work- it was gone by lunch. I am now drinking a flavor splash 20 oz water,  so I am up to 52 oz of water today. I'm sure I will drink 20 oz or so of water with dinner so I will probably be at 72ish oz of water today. I hope I can keep up this pace!

4 liters a day

I've had 2 so far so I'm slightly behind for the day, but I will get there...
I bring my 2.2 liter bottle of tap water from home everyday to work.. I keep a bag of ice in the freezer and work and keep a large glass filled w/ice and just keep pouring my water in it.. Most of the time I finish by end of the work day and whatever I drink at night is just a bonus.

On the weekends I don't worry about it.. I drink 1 or 2 glasses only and feel parched by Monday! lol
I have my 32oz water bottle with me at all times. I fill it up to the top in the morning (which is about 40oz), then all day I pour from that into my ice-filled glass, and consider the melted ice bonus. I fill it 3 times a day~at least 120oz, plus the 500 billion melted ice cubes!
~3 liters total... at least 500 ml for every diet coke before I get another :)
Someone else on these forums told me to cut your weight in half and drink that in ounces.  I'm 211 right now so I'm busy struggling to down 100+ oz. of water/day.  I have to pee all the time but the weight is coming off faster.  To make it better, I often add some lemon and also drink flavored sports waters like Propel.

I drink 3.5 liters (117 oz) each day, and that's just the needed minimum, sometimes I go through 4 whole 1.5 liter bottles in a day.
I drink between 128 and 172 ounces of plain water per day
I usually drink about 84 oz a day, 64 at work and 20 when I'm working out

I drink about 128 to just under 192 ounces a day.  More on the days I'm really working a sweat or had too much sodium the previous day!

I also agree with Idymae, once you're drinking regularly you really feel it if you fall short

I should be getting about 70 ozs a day, but sometimes it varies. On days I'm more active I tend to drink more, on days I'm a bit lazy, I tend to drink less.

I have a 16oz glass at work that I fill up about every 2 hours. That gets me my 64oz or 8 glasses. Then I usually have 20-30oz when I work out.
I drink between 128 and 192 oz per day.
I actually don't do the water thing anymore.
The reason is, I am a trainer (not an exercise one :P) and I could not keep interuppting my clients to have to get up and pee every 5 minutes. Plus, I found out that drinking the water really does not make weight loss much easier. I haven't done it in months and found out that to be completely true.
That said, I dont do the soda or diet soda anymore and I will drink flavored water for just a drink. I dont do a certain amount really.
10 cups (8 oz.) a day, or about 2 litres a day.  At first I had to pee all the time, but now it is much better.  I'm glad I stuck with it.  I started seriously drinking water about 6 weeks ago.

I have coffee in the morning.  Then drink about 20 oz. water after walking the dog.  I drink another 20 oz. after riding my bike, then drink shoot for drinking 32 oz. at work.  I drink another glass of water with dinner and some more in the evening.  Now it's habit.

BTW I drink sparkling water at home, spring water at work.  On the weekends I miss the sping water, and just do the sparkling all day.

I'm able to drink a lot more water if I use those crystal light on the go packets to add to my water.

I try to get in at least 64oz, but sometimes it's more.

I didn't read all the posts so if I duplicate then I'm sorry, but I hear half your body weight in ounces.
WATER WATER WATER!!!!! Water is the best to drop the lbs and keep you full. Water rehydrates you, fills the void between your chest and waist, and just gives you an all around energy boost. At one point I was drinking a gallon a day, but have lowered it to 3.5L. Just under a gallon. I drink a 1.5L @ work and then a 2L bottle at the house. What helps me is I left the Dr. Pepper lable on the 2L bottle and it tricks my mind into thinking I am getting Dr. Pepper instead of water. I don't know, it just works for me. So if broke down I am drinking 118.3oz which is over half of half my body weight. If that makes since. 218/2=109=109oz water. Woo Hoo, I can calculate.
I drink anywhere from 100 -120 oz.  I have a 20 oz glass at work and I try to get most of my water during the day.    At home I might have 16 oz.
I try to drink at least gallon a day. Its actually harder on the weekends, because Im always out and about. At work I usually get in 96 before I leave, 20 at the gym, and 20-40 at home.
