The WATER drinking challenge for the next 30 days!!

I need some motivation and want to start getting back into better health, therefore I  need to drink more water again. I dropped from 2-3L a day down to maybe a glass or two. Pathetic!!

So, I want to start a challenge for us each to drink between 1-3L a day.

1L = 1 stars *

2L = 2 stars **

3L = 3 stars ***

Over 3L does not count as any additional stars.

Everyone can keep track of their own stars but post here! Whoever gets the most points wins! Very simple yet hopefully motivating!

I have failed my own challenge how pathetic. I haven't even drank 1L the past two days ... !!! :((((

I will take your challenge.  Don't be discouraged!  1L is better than two little glasses.  You have to take it one step at a time!

I will take your challenge too!  I'm averaging about 30-40 ounces a day currently =/

I will also take the challenge. At this time I drink 0oz of water. This is my first step so I will take the challenge hopefully it will work. MMMMMM Water Water just getting my mind prepared for tomorrow.

Yay! Glad to have some folks join up, we can really band together and self-motivate. So I have already been totally bad since I started this thread. Tomorrow is a new day ... I am going to earn my stars .... is everybody READY????????????

It really depends. You can read the label to figure it out. For example the bottle of Poland Spring I drank earlier was 700ml = 0.7 L. The bottle of Evian I am drinking is 500ml = 0.5L. 1000 ml = 1L. If you measure in cups 8 x 8 oz glasses is about 2L or 2000mls.

I ended up drinking 1L yesterday so I guess I get 1 star. Today I will be better. Aiming for 3L. I think this will hopefully kickstart my weightloss again. My appetite is out of control and I feel terrible about it.

Hehheee, I think I am using this thread to motivate myself, which is cool, as it's working. I drank 2.5L yesterday, going for the full three today. The water reeeeeeallly helps ...

The ones that are about 8 inches tall are usually about .5 liters if that helps. Also .5 liters is just over 1 pint (1 pint .9 oz to be exact) if you aren't in a place where the metric system is prevalent. So 1 liter would be just over a quart.

Popular water bottle sizes are .5 liter (500 ml), 20 oz (approximately .7 liter), .75 liter (750 ml), 32 oz (1 quart), and 1 liter (1000 ml). There are some that are shorter than 8 inches that are still .5 liter, but they are the short fat bottles, like Dasani and the Fiji square bottles).

Trick that might help some.  Whenever I want to drink something besides water, like diet soda, juice, milk, or tea, I make myself drink at least an 8 oz glass of water first and since I drink most of my water from my refrigerator dispenser, I made a deal with myself that I can't open the fridge without drinking some water first.

BTW, I had *** plus today.

 

hum........ i have noticed that no one has posted since march 30. is this challenge still going on?

if it is...... then i say, as a kid i loved water..... we had well water! the best water!! then i moved out...... town water! Yell  yuck! no more water for me.... and i always thought why buy water when your already paying for it? still no more water....... now i moved close to back home..... I GOT WELL WATER!!  but still i was in the mode water yuck!!! so about 6 months ago, i put my foot down! made myself a challenge.......... drink 8 glasses a day for a month..... if i didnt like it after a month i would go back to my diet dew..... a month goes by and i thought cool i stuck it out for a month.... WHERE'S THE DIET DEW??  of course i had a diet dew once a day..... so the first day i went and started drinking the diet dew and after taking a couple of swigs out of the second  one, i thought yuck.... guess what?? i am now hooked on water!!  i drink from 9 to 15 eight ounce glasses a day but it has to be ice cold! and i read some where on the internet that you burn calories as your body it warming that ice water to body temp... dont know how true that is but ice water is better! and all the trips to the bathroom keeps me moving!!

so i say keep drinkin h20!!

I am, I have had 2L a day since I last posted. Having trouble getting to 3L. Gonna try today but since it's already 1pm and I am yet to have water it's not looking good.
