Intresting
hmm this is what mine said.
72 ounces of water today, or 2.2 liters.
If you eat a healthy diet, about 20 percent of your water need may come from the foods you eat. If you eat a healthy diet you can drink 57.6 ounces of water today, or 1.7 liters.

rahana316 - you were very close in your guessing.
yup. did you do yours salome? what do you have to drink?
I did mine and taking into consideration that I have problems in the bathroom area and I drink alchohol - I have to drink 4.1 Liters a day to stay hydrated.
that's a lot of water salome. you know it's very difficult to drink so much water throughout the day because everytime you take a sip, 2 mins later you have to go to the bathroom and after a while it becomes a pain in the butt...:)
You are not kidding. Yesturday I actually did drink that much water. I was in the bathroom all day and when I left work I felt like I had about 2 liters splashing around in my stomach.
LOL - if you keep doing though that will go away but if you don't keep up on the weekend - right back to where you started!!
I need 2.6 liters a day, thanks for the link quite interesting.
My amount is exactly the same as yours, salome. LOL. I don't drink alcohol, but I drink *whispering*......Diet Pepsi!
Laurie - it is a lot of water! Yikes.
I have to drink 3L a day. I already knew that and have been doing it. I literally feel 'sloshy' all of the time. LOL
I was hoping if I stuck with it - that sloshy feeling would go away. :0(
yikes i dont know if I can drink my 2 litres of water much less 3L. How do you do that schann?
I found this interesting:
It is common knowledge that water constitutes almost 70% of the human body. However, what we rarely think about is what can happen to our body if we don?t consume enough water.
Water, together with the minerals and vitamins, and fatty acids found in the body, works to maintain the hydration level of our body and also to repair the daily wear and tear which occurs.
However, we generally do not give second thought to the bottle of water lying on the table, and rather than that, we choose to pick up a bottle of soft drink. The following are some of the things which can happen due to the lack of water in the body.
? Lowered levels of water in the body can lead to constipation, which can again be corrected by consuming lots of water.
? Water maintains proper muscle tone in the body by giving muscles their ability to contract by preventing dehydration.
? Water adds a glow to the skin and also prevents sagging.
? Perhaps the most important function of water is that it cleans the body of waste which accumulates from improper care and nutrition.
? Drinking water is perhaps the safest and the most reliable method of losing weight as water naturally suppresses the appetite, helping metabolize stored fat.
? Water is necessary for the proper functioning of the kidneys, and this can lead to liver toxicity and fatigue.
It is important for us to realize that pure water not only eliminates many impurities and toxins from the body, but it also reduces the chances of us catching many diseases. However, there?s also no need to go on an overload of water as this will then affect with the digestion process.
One can see, therefore, that more often than not, most of the common ailments can be avoided by drinking plenty of water!

This too:
Even if you're inactive, your body loses up to 80 ounces of water a day ? mainly in urine, perspiration (even invisible sweat) and bowel movements. Every time you exhale, for example, you lose water vapor that adds up to one or two glasses of water a day. To replace this loss, you should consume at least 6 full glasses of water a day ? a minimum of about 48 ounces. Of course, foods are 70 to 90 percent water, so don't count just the glasses you drink in a day.

I count water (straight up), milk, decaf coffee and teas, and pure juices (watch the sugar!). It all counts. I make sure that half of all I drink is water though. It's pretty easy to get in 3L if you count everything.
Sorry, I make sure 2L is pure water.

I scored 2.3 liters of water a day. At minimum I already drink 2 liters and more often than not come really close to 3 liters. I just always keep a bottle with me at my desk and where ever I go. Many days I drink over 2 liters by lunch.
Drink up!
Drink up!
Cool - I've been drinking about 3 liters of water a day for about the last year. (I don't do as well on the weekends... probably get under 2 liters on weekend days.)
This calculator says I should drink 4.3 liters per day, but if I eat a healthy diet, which I do, I can drink 3.4 liters. So I only need to up my water a little.
That said, I do visit the restroom frequently. I can hold it if I have to, but everybody says that's bad for you, so I don't do that anymore.
