How much water will kill me?
I love water, the purity of it. I drink a lot already. I've consumed litres upon litres before, but I've always survived. How much water is enough to kill me if consumed very fast?
Reason: Suicide is a serious topic, please contact the 800 # posted.
Anything over two and a half litres, if drunk fast enough, can mess up your electrolytes and kill you. I know a girl who went into a coma from doing that.
That almost sounds suicidal...
Ermm... please don't get me wrong, but some clues in your post tell me that perhaps you should seek medical advice. If you are drinking too much water, your body will let you know. You won't feel well, you might be dizzy and weak, experience cold sweats, nausea and others... pretty much like someone who's running out of sugar. Sometimes people have no symptoms at all. They just colapse. So the question you should ask yourself is NOT how much can kill you (you should not get anywhere near there!), but rather how much is right for your body, no matter how much you like water.
Hope this helped!
Cheers
question if you drink 2.5 liters (isnt 2.5 liters 3 liters then?) through out the day and consume food also is it still bad for you? I understand that if you drink that much say in one sitting or in a shot amount of time it can be bad.
edit: I just figured out my own water in take and I usually drink up to 4 liters a day. but this is through out the day. I really think is depends on the persons body and if its consumed in a short amount of times. When the Wii came out a local radio station did Wee for a Wii and a woman drank about 3 gallons and she did die later that night in her sleep. but it was in a short amount of time that she consumed. Sad thing is she didnt win the wii.
lads the tone of this whole topic is pretty morbid. puh8, i dont think your comment is helpful to the topic or to op.
