Water Weight

Quote  |  Reply
I don't get it! Why does everybody talk about water weight like it doesn't count.  If I am carrying a ton of water on board my pants still don't fit and neither do my shoes.

Its like saying the weight in my left butt cheek doesn't count because it will go away on its own.

Although it may not be as unhealthy as other weight it can still kill you.  If you retain too much water it puts a terrible strain on your heart and lungs by filling up in or around them.  We all need to watch the amount of water we retain.  Drinking the right amount of water and watching out for the things that make us retain it is the only way to keep from having the problem that I know of.  Any ideas on ways to keep it from sticking around?

Consume less sodium/salt intake.  An increase in sodium can cause you to retain water more.

Personally, the best way for me to reduce my water retention is exercise.

Josal you may need to talk to your doctor about putting you on water pills.Plus watch your salt Intake and get out an move more. With you holding so much water you may have another medical problem,I don't want to scare you just something to think about...
I had my friend-(she works for a diet center) that every few days a a person should boil a lemon, quarter it and keep the rine on.. in about ten oz of water. She said its a natural diuretic for water... I tried it this morning, I dunno if it actually works, tastes nasty!! lol
Hi there.  I tend to retain water easily also.  I have been taking apple cider vinegar pills and it works wonderfully for me.  I take a couple pills once or twice a day and I find that my daily weighing has very little fuctuation.  Its worth a try.  It works for me.
