Water weight and menstrual cycle

Quote  |  Reply
I am starting my menstrual in about five days. Does anyone know how quickly water weight begins adding on more around your cycle? Do we typically see the weight before the period starts or does it typically show up during the cycle? Might be a dumb question.. But I seem to have gained about three pounds in the past three days and I'm on a pretty well balanced and strict diet with exercise involved so it's got me curious if t could be water weight?

I personally find that I'm most bloated leading up to the period (about where you are now). After my period starts, my bloatedness starts dropping off and I'm generally at my leanest towards the end of the period and a bit beyond the end.

Thankyou! I am beginning to feel more and more bloated. I never paid much attention I guess before I started weighing myself and all. Thanks again.
I can gain up to 5 pounds leading up to my period. I'm so bloated that I look preggo. It can be so bad that I sometimes can not fit in my jeans. Once my period hits, the weight will come off within three or four days.

I bloat leading up to my period and for about the first day then it begins to subside a little more each day. By the day after my period, I'm sure everything is back to normal.

I typcially gain 4-6 pounds during TTOM.

Hope this helps.
