Water weight from PMS

Quote  |  Reply

Just wondering --- the weight you gain from water right before your period - do you lose it the first day of your period or mid-cycle?

--normally i gain about 2 pounds (even with all the "anti-fluid rentention" tricks extra calcium/drinking more water/potassium/extra exercise etc)

i started my period today and i'm still up 2 pounds - i get confused as to when i can blame this on water retention...... normally lose all the water weight the first day but for some ppl does it take longer?

i dont lose it till 1 or 2 days after my period. i was up to 119 last week, then my period ended, and i weighed in at 115 this morning. it was wierd because ive been eating 2500-3000 cals each day the past week or so!

urggghhh its so annoying - i ran a half marathon yesturday and i still gained another pound!!!! i know it's just a number but it's mentally frusturating

I always gain 1-2 pounds a day or two before my period starts.  It doesn't go away until 1-2 days after my period is over. I think it is water retention because the same pattern happens every month and the clothes also feel like they belong to someone else Surprised then it goes back to normal.  If I've been a very good girl, it goes down somewhat lower than where I started.  Yah, like that happens a lot LOL!
