Which Way? - Devotion

Every moment of every day we are making choices that impact our entire life. Doesn't it make sense to desire and obtain wisdom, understanding, and clarity to make these choices? This is why the Bible says, Wisdom is the principle thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting, get understanding. Exalt her and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honor, when thou dost embrace her. She shall give to thy head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. Hear, O my son, and receive my saying; and the years of thy life shall be many. (Proverbs 4.7-10). Wisdom is that important and is able to accomplish these things because she...has lead thee in right paths. When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straightened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble. Imagine how today would be if every decision we had to make was made with wisdom. This would include, but not limited to the road we drove, the check-out line we get in, the word choices we say, the money we spend, investments of time and resources we make, places we go. What if they were all perfectly clear and the right choice was guaranteed? Wisdom can give us freedom and clarity to do that. We need wisdom to know the right way, wisdom to choose, the right way, and wisdom to know how to travel the right way. We need wisdom. God grant us wisdom.
