On my way to a healthy, happy life
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the caloriecount PLUS scene. I started using the original calorie count site last March and by using the food log and watching the eat meter, I lost 65 pounds in about 7 months.
Then...I got lazy and foolish and quit logging in my food and activity. I haven't lost anything in about 5 months....
So...today I began again! I did the diet profile quiz and I'm definitely an excessive eater....duh! Yesterday, I binged big time and that was a turning point for me. I must have consumed 5000 or more calories!
I know this will work for me, because it worked before. I'm thrilled to be here and anxious to make friends who understand and with whom I can share mutual encouragment!

Congradulations on getting back on track. Its tough I know. Bye the way you look great. This website is absolutely the best. I've lost almost 25 lbs to-date on this program and am on my last 15 lbs which is taking a while, but thats ok. You right, if you don't count it adds up and you're caught in the food trap again. Food is like my best friend and its difficult, but as long as I log in first thing in the monring and keep track it helps.

Thanks for the encouraging words! You are so right about logging in first thing in the morning....it's 5:51 a.m. and I've just entered by breakfast and the food I've packed for lunch. I try to use about half my calories between the two meals and then I can enjoy my dinner.

Binge eating. Gotta love it. Gotta hate it. It is so hard to control. But what I think really kills a healthy lifestyle is the extra 150 calories a day that add up to a pound or two a month and sneak up on you, until you look in the mirror and shout "what happened to me?"
It sounds like you have things under control.

Welcome back and good for for you maintaining for awhile. I agree; without the logging, I'm a mess!
It's great you came right back after that one binge. You know how hard it is to do that? Excellent!
