Went WAY over.. BAD TWO DAYS :( help needed
so i gained from 126 to 133. i got my period yesterday boyyyy i got the cravings..so yeahh i hate ice cream once yesterday and some chocolate popcorn. went to about 1100 calories (Limit is 1400) so then i went out dancing, for about 3 hours.. and afterwards everyone wanted to get some thing to eat, so we went to dennys.. i got buff chicken melt sandwich, took off the bread, ate most the chicken, not much of the fries. and that was it.but i bet i went over 1400 cals thast day(maybe no too bad the dancing might have burned offso it didnt make a difference idk)...
then today i woke up had fruit for breakfast(started off good) then i went right into the popcorn again..and some caramel kind too. idk whats wrong with me. then i had 2 of these indiviual ice creams today! again, thenn more popcorn, and more fruit. i hate some PLAIN shrimp no sauces earlier. but i mean its all CRAPPPPP and i totally know i went way over 1400 with the popcorn n ice creams. they were 250 a peice.
im so depressed and freaking out right now, its terrible ive never been this bad my entire time dieting, what can i do. i dont wanna gain, i dont wanna mess up everything.
i need to get rid of my thighs./ butt. and some inches in my stomach. i need some help. i cant go to the gym cuz i work most of the time and when i dont i need my down time but im usually running around but today i was lazy and relaxed.
any encouraging adivce or help to get me thru this :( i just wanna make myself throw it ALL up instead. but i woiuldnt do that
Yeah, definitely don't throw it up! You won't gain huge amounts from a couple of days of bingeing (especially since it doesn't sound like really bad bingeing) just admit that you've made a mistake and make sure you drink lots of water tonight and tomorrow to avoid getting bloated from sodium retention. Popcorn is really high in sodium and retaining salt will make you retain water, too. And when I say a lot I'm talking like 80 ounces.
Other than that, don't stress. It doesn't do any good except make you miserable, and some studies say it causes weight gain.
Not good!
So just breathe and move on. You did well with the exercise. Just stay motivated and don't fall off the tracks!
honestly im very indesisve and i need all the support and advice i can get, thats what keeps me going and working hard to get where i wanna be, lately i have NONE, and no one there to talk to about it that KNOWS what im going through, my boyfriend and friends are supportive but dont understand anything about calorie counting or why i really care about it so much. sooo i like to be able to look to u guys for this
i having a rough day. : (
thank u Bricole-im trying the water idea, cuz ive been lackin that lately. and i just exercised for a half hour, i feel all energized and positive, i just need to get throu the night and on a better foot tomoorrrow
I get that way too -- going over the limit. Once you go over, it's easy to keep going over. But the beauty of it is -- you can always toss the chocolate popcorn and any junk you are likely to eat.
Keep it in your house for only a day or two. If it's not gone by 2 days later, toss it, give it away, bring it to work, give it to friends, hide it in the garage, etc. Whatever works -- just get it out of your sight.
Then the next day -- start over and pretend nothing happened. Just try to stay under the goal again.
When its PMS craving time I eat South Beach Diet Cookies its not the best but it does help. Oatmeal/Chocolate Chip are my favorite and only 100 calories.
Anyway just get back on track and move on.
There's a little ditty I picked up years ago...
"Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again".
You're human - you're going to have week moments and you're going to give in occasionally. Just "pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again".
Flush your system with lots of water, watch the sodium intake (helps prevent water retention) and start fresh. You can't do anything about what you've already eaten - just try to control those urges next time.
For snackies - when I have that urge, I go for the Kraft pudding cups, they come in chocolate for that time of the month TTOTM and are only 100 cals/cup! ;) My grocery store has sales on occasion, 10 packs of 4 for $10.00. :):) So I stock up.
Also - As it was explained to me, eating just fruit for breakfast isn't really a great idea - as you learned - you were still hungry. It's very sugary - even though it's fruit. You want to couple it with something else - like peanut butter - or having on the side of regular breakfast items - eggs, sausage or something loaded with protein.
You should try this - Get some Body Fortress Whey Protein - you can get a big tub for like $15.00 at Target, Walmart or WalGreens. I get the vanilla flavored - goes well with most any drink. I take one scoop (110 cals and 23g protein) and add 8oz skim milk (80 cals) so we're at 200 cals now, and that alone is good, but add some frozen strawberries and a banana and KABLOW - a fabulous, healthful start to the day.
Recently, I've added a scoop of my vanilla protein powder to 8oz of V8 V.Fusion Light strawberry Banana juice and that only comes to 160 total cals for that mixture and its just as good!!! :)
Good Luck!
i know how hard it is to ghet back on track after falling off. i did the same thing over the weekend. you just have to focus again and get back to business. you really didn't do as bad as you think. from now on, try to keep better alternatives for when the munchies strike or pms gets the best of you. i keep special k protein bars and luna bars on hand for my chocolate fix. with only 110-180 calories a piece, they totally satisy the craving. try the peppermint trick- eat a mint or candy cane. eating mint helps control cravings. i love altoids chocolate dipped mints. I never have more than 2 and with just 15 calories a piece. you can burn that off instantly. plus, you have minty fresh breath! haha!
100 calorie pack are helpful for munchie days too. there are salty snacks and sweet ones. just be sure not to eat the entire boxful; of packs in one day!
good luck and know you're doing fine. :)
