not quite as cold here (central BC).  -20 overnight the last two nights.  yesterday at the height of day it was -16, -30-ish with wind chill.  today i took the dog out around noon: - 6ish in the sun, no wind.  i can live with that!  3:43pm now, though, and the sun is going down.  and i have to go out for a stupid staff dinner.  blah!!

ps: windshield is that piece of glass in the front of your car; that coldness factor is wind chill ;)

You see, this is why people shouldn't be living up there.

The -30 and below weather is one of the reasons why I left Superior, Wisconsin...

Superior, WI - that's where my dad is from!  I'm originally form Duluth, MN :)  I actually really like the cold - I know, I know, I'm weird.  I lived in a season-less place for a year and now really appreciate all the changes that occur in Minnesota during the year.

I'min Minneapolis, MN now and it's only like +15 F here now, but is supposed to get to -15 overnight.  It's the first really cold night of the year.

Holy Crap! That is really cold! It's about +50 F here in Alabama and I'm actually feelin' a little chilly... but the heat also went out in my house after a big storm this week.  I can't imagine what -20 F feels like! Hope you have a nice fire and someone to keep you warm up there..;)

There are places between northern Minnesota and season-less places...places where you have four seasons where you don't have to deal with the deep freeze...just sayin'...no need to choose simply between the inhospitable and the meteorogically mundane... ;D

we were actually +4 today...but we've had a few cold days, and there are more coming :/ (Toronto)

I am in St. Peter MN and it is SOOO cold! The windchill is -39F right now. It sucks especially for a college campus where we have to walk everywhere to get to class. I might just cut a hole in a sleeping bag and walk around with it over my body!!

all the buildings are connected on my campus; you just have to get from the parking lot to an door.  it's brilliant ;)

I'm freezing in Edmonton too :)

Freezing in Duluth, MN too.  It's going to be a lot worse tonight, but at least the snow has stopped.

yeah it's freezing here too(green bay). -1º and -27º with the windchill. BRRRR

Wow I don't what to say about weather that cold.  Here in Maryland we get temps in the 20's, teens and single digits sometimes (F), but rarely does it get in the negatives except for wind chill of course yet I still complain when we do have cold weather.  I hate cold weather and should probably live in the deep south because I start getting cold at below 60º F.  I really want to move to Florida.

caver, some of these temps are celcius.  the two scales meet up at -39, but above that, our minuses are not as cold as your minuses.

that said, this morning it was -20 when i got up and it's dropped to -27.  the sun is just (finally!) breaking the horizon, though, so it's about to get better.

-20 for a daytime high here today (about -4 F if I'm converting that right) with a windchill of -35.  Our usual high is +22 F or -6 C.

And according to Environment Canada the Arctic air mass is going to hang out and spend the holidays with us.

joy.  Wink

I know that some are celcius.  What I usually do when I hear celcius tems is estimate based on 0º being freezing (32º F) and 37º being body temp rather than doing the math (9/5 *(C+32)).  Since I know that 0º C is the point water freezes at, I know that    -20º C is pretty darned cold!

63°F hahaha...

Winterpeg... opps I mean Winnipeg was a toasty -43C this morning (with the wind chill) and we are locked down in sub-sub zero temps until Xmas at least.  Current temp is -29C (-41C w/windchill)... and we have a windchill warning in effect too...

I'm sooooo glad I moved to Winnipeg.

In MI - started this AM near +50 F and will end up around 20 F.  YIKES!  I hate winter - need to move south!

Man, oh man. That is why people have no idea what clothing to bring when they visit Canada. It's 5 degrees in my neck of the woods- currently Southern Ontario. I feel for the Albertans today. We're having some freak warm day- tomorrow it plunges!

Our high is +77º F here in sunny Florida : )  Will be like that for the rest of week - although it really isn't "sunny" right now...  Lower 70's is freezing to me!!!
