hi - i just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with the website losertown - you put in how many calories you plan to eat per day and it will show you what you will weigh every week for weeks.. based on the numbers in which you put in; your age, height, and activity level.
of course this thing will calculate for 2 years.. so of course i realize after a point it is impossible to continue to lose especially if you get to a low weight - your body adjusts..
well anyone who has used it - let me know what you think.
Where on the website can you find the calculator? I'd like to try it out, but all I'm finding is a big search engine.
It's a nice idea, but I don't think it's implemented too practically.
With my calorie intake and exercise, I think I'll be reaching my set weight in 3-4 months, but according to that site I'll be reaching it in 3-4 weeks.

that's interesting... for me it calculated about a month longer for my loss than i'm expecting. did you double check your stat input?
yeah lovemym_m is right the site is:

let me know what you think about it.
so for you satyrswomanit projects it 4 x faster =/
discouraging in that case! thanx for the response, goodluck with your goal.
i did the input for 1 mo. and it said i would lose 6.5 pounds - i lost 4.5 pounds.
whoops sorry it over projected by 4x for bicycles.
for you satyrswoman it seems to be under predicting so far?
well, thanks for the response and good luck.
satyrswoman - yes, I even exaggerated my calorie intake and picked the 'modest exercise' option and it still told me I would be losing 6 pounds a week (!!!). This may be an age/height thing (21 years old, 160 cms - 5'3 feet)
At the end of two years, it tells me my weight would stabilize at 10 kgs (22 pounds). Coincidentally, that's also likely the weight of a two year old corpse.

yeah, but not by much. and if you figure in that i will have to reduce my intake aafter about 10 more pounds of loss then it would probably be about right. this site assumes that you will not vary your intake over time.
good luck you to as well!

i don't think they mean this to be a "stabilized" weight. it seems to just take what you tell it and project as far as their equation calls for regardless of health. not great for people with less to lose, but i suppose for people who are expecting at least 2 years of weight loss it gives an overview.
I've been using it for a couple of months now (you can see it in my profile) and have had to adjust it 2 times as the weight loss stalls... it really should not to be taken as a standard given that it is simply a mathematical equation that predicts a weight loss trend... and we all know that our bodies do not work that way. Having said this, I still like it because it gives me an idea of my progress and allows me to view the cycles I go through...
Bicycles- I was laughing so hard at your prediction. I did the same thing just to see what it would say. I kept scrolling down to see when it would say, okay don't lose any more weight, but it kept going. By 2010 I could be a nice 50 pounds. That's less than my 6 year old!
thank you v_avila for your response - i absolutely loved seeing your profile with the comparisons! congratulations on the weight loss and much luck with continued success!
yoou exercise a lot - totally great! this is what i need to start doing again - i gained by stopping my 50 mi/week running in addition to the higher calories! =/
when i programmed in a wt loss i had previously - i lost it faster but seemed to maintain within a 5 pound range of the three month mark.
as when i programmed weight gain i gained it quicker but then it remained at a given weight three month mark again.
so for anyone who was questioning i plateaued at about a 17.3-18 bmi obviously you do not continue to lose to a deathly weight. and the weight gained slowed similarly.
