1 week new, need assistance
hey! i'm leta. i'm newer than you are. haha. just as confused. hopefully it'll get better! i weigh the same 178. i'm 38yrs old and have four children the youngest is 4months. oldest is 18 =0 she & i have joined the site together. we're both hoping to lose 44lbs. 88 together. i don't exercise but have recently decided "hey, maybe i should" - i used to be athletic, but it didn't last.

Thanks for responding...I wasn't sure how this thing worked. However I have two girls ages 31 and 29...Both have moved on in their lives and now I just have two cats ...Max and Missy. In addition, to my weight my other problem is being a workaholic....As much as i walk around all day at work, my wieght should just melt off....wrong...when I get home from work i eat everything I can find that's not nailed down and then I scurry rapidly to Manuel (that's my bed) (smile) I try to get to sleep before my husband comes up and I am up all night because of his snoring...anyhoo thats enough about me...chat back please....Oh if you find out anything new I need to be doing with this site please advise...I will, if you don't mind, attempt to add you to my friend list. I'm 41 and am fighting a hormonal battle - I'm in menopause and I can't stop eating.
Anyhow, to add a buddy, click on the user name of the person you want to add, and then in the upper right corner click 'add buddy'. Once added you can view and comment on your buddies journals too.

I am just starting my second week and am still learning to navigate around CC. I'm 54 and think I just finished menopause. No joke. I'm not sure cause the only symptoms for me over the last few years are lack of menses. I did put on the weight though and I cry easy. I started to change my eating and excercising routine to lose after hitting 189, my all time high. No good at five feet. This is a great place to get information and friendly support. I'd like some like minded buddies too. *>

I've been with CC since Feb 1. I lost 10 pounds last month but am stalled. Slipped back into my bad habits for a few days. Aslo have a crummy cold. Anyway I am 53 years old with two married daughters aged 28 and 30. I have one adorable grandson aged 5. I have battled with my weight for most of my adult life. but for the last two years it has become a real problem; high blood pressure. I need to lose 50 pounds. I love CC for the forums, recipes, and the food and exerrcise logs. It keeps you honest and when I backslide, I have people to talk to and inspire me to get back on track.
Denise - I also binge have a history of snacking like crazy after work and then sitting down to a full dinner. It's a very hard habit to break. With the weather still so cold, I live in northern Michigan, I'm not compelled to be outside.
garbluv - I checked out your gallery. I'm curious. Are you in a Renaisance group? tell us your story.

I wanted to introduce myself because I, like Cheryl, have gone through menopause and am only 40! I went through the whole hot flash thing and some major emotional stuff but now I have evened out with some help of supplements and vitamins. I really want to reignite my metabolism now that Im through it though and I need to exercise to strengthen the bones right? I am 25 pounds overweight (I was 31 :) 3 weeks ago ) I love using this web site, especially the recipe analyzer. I've been using this site for a year or more off and on but I hope this time I can keep up my log because I think it will be the only way to stick with this until I am at my goal weight of 120-125lbs. stay committed!

I have been a member for less than a month. I have already gotten some great advice from this site that got my weight loss program out of a stall. I have figure most stuff out, but I am sure there is a lot I missed too
I need buddies too. That is the biggest thing I am missing.
Oh, and I need to lose about 70 pounds still.
