3 week weight loss challenge?!??!

hey everyone! i've completely hit a plateau in my weight loss, and really hope to jump start again with these next three weeks!  PLUS, im going on vacation for spring break, and need to look seriously HOT.

does anyone want to be my weight loss budy/challenger? i would love the motivation!! here are my stats:

5'9, 155 pounds, long term goal: 135 pounds, three week goal: 10 pounds.

ps. everything must be done the healthy/safe way!! any takers?

Hi, I would love to finally break into the 120's  which would give me a 5lbish weight loss.

What did you have in mind? What does your exercise regimen look like?

 i just started calorie count today, so i'm just getting used to everything...

 anyways, a little background info..i'm 5'8 and i've always weighed about 125.  a few months ago i got injured so i had to quit my sport.  i noticed my metabolism slowing down A BUNCH since i haven't been working out as hard or regularly since then.  right now i'm at 135.  

 i'd love to join you and lose those 10 pounds! 

Birthday on the 28th.... 4 weeks away but 3 is a good goal

5'3" 183 - would love a 10 lb loss in that time and 15 would be fabulous.... lets do it girls.

count me in!! I'm about 131 now - have a bachelorette party for my cousin in 2 weeks, and the wedding is April 5th!!

In 3 weeks i'd like to lose a good 5 pounds! 

OOH OOH me too!! lol I just got back from my reading week which I spent at home...and uh...let's not go there....I feel so guilty about my eating habits this past week :( 

But summer is fast approaching and there's no time to dwell on the past, so I'm totally up for the challenge. I'm in university and on a tight time and money schedule, but hopefully with everyone's support, I'll be able to manage.  I'm afraid to weigh myself right now lol but I weigh somewhere between 135-140 pounds and hopefully in the next 3 weeks, I can lose 10 pounds as well :) Let's get this done! 

Great to see  people to do this with! Do you want to post goals for the week or have a weekly check in? What sounds motivational to you to hold you accountable?

yay! im so excited! does everyone want to weigh in tomorrow?

my workout schedule is generally spin class for 30 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of jumproping/treadmill, and then strength training, and sometimes power yoga for an hour!

Mondays are fine with me...even though I weigh more today then I did 2 days ago. I weighed in at 134.5 and today I am at 136.5, but I didnt exercise all weekend and at like a zillion grams of sodium so I am sure that it is water weight. LOL! Did some drinking as well.

I usually run 30-45min on treadmill or outside if the weather is decent ( I try 5x a week). I do strength training 3-4x a week for 25 minutes usually. I throw in jump roping and shapes bikini boot camp dvd 1-2x a week.

Do you have any special goals for these 3 weeks...besides your weight loss goal? Like I am going to try to cut back on my sodium intake and up my fiber intake.

Hey guys, I'm totally in!  I'm 5'4 and 125.  I gained some weight this past few months, and I really want to go back down to 110lbs.  My three week goal is to loose 8lbs and to improve my stamina and flexibility.  I gotta get ready for the warm weather!  Time to start getting in my best shape and stay healthy for summer!

Hi guys! Count me in! I need a little motivation!

Im 5'5" somewhere between 125-130 and will check my actual weight for weigh in tomorrow. I was doing really great and lost all motivation this last week. I was at 124 and i started having the "week before my period" feeling. I just need to get back on track and get those last few pounds moving!

My personal motivation for losing is triathlon season. I feel lean, confident and competent at around 120 but i just cant get back there because everytime i get close i have a mental focus block.

Here i am i need of your accountability!

I'm between 5'7" & 5'8".

I weighed 159.6 pounds this morning.

We have a trip coming up in May, so my eventual goal weight is 140 or so.

I'd love to drop 8-10 pounds in three weeks.

I'm monitoring my calories and working out on my elliptical most nights.

I want it too!  This is my first post since I joined CC on 01/24/08 but I read them like they are the Bible!  Just tell me what I need to do...please:)

Ok, Here it is...

I hate writing that because i was doing so well and so close to my goal and now i feel like im starting all over.
the third day I've been on this plan, and boy I'm feeling it already! I'm restricting my caloric intake to 1200 and exersizing 5 times a week. Anoher thing I'm going is drinking a lot of herbal tea and not eating any starchy carbs or sugars after 12pm. I find that if I take them out completely I'll just murder my friends and family, so I eat a little organic sugar, honey and maybe some dark chocolate (just a little, I gon't want my blood sugar to spike or to get that carby sleepy feeling). That will make me feel satisfied so I don't start binge eating and it won't add significanty to my weight. I eat pretty much only lean meat and salad for dinner. I think the other thing that I really need when I'm loosing weight is a LOT of sleep. Sometimes even more then 8h, especially the second week. If I don't sleep a lot and let my body recover I will fail, and I won't make it to week three.

I really wanted to focus on running, but I haven't been able to do it at all this week yet! It's been freezing rain here and I had to exersize in my appartment. Arrg, I want to get out!

Oh, another great tip I have is if you can do your cardio first thing in the morning before you eat, your body will be burning the fat directly, and it is great way to loose pounds fast!

you are 5'9 and you want to be 135lb??? The Ideal weight for a 5'9 femali is 145lb and that dosent take into factor age. The older you are it gives you a bit more lbs.  but good luck

Long time reader first time poster!  I'd like to join in as well (if it's not too late of course).

SW: 164 lbs ; CW : 152 lbs ; GW : 149

My goal weight was set by CC, but I'd like to eventually be at 137 (my happy weight!).  Since Feb 08 I've lost 12 pounds, but I'm currently hitting a plateau. 

I'm a 19 y/o girl, 5'9'', I do cardio exercice 5 times a week and weight lifting 2-3 times a week.
