Anyone else have horrible weekends? I'm not quite as busy in the up-and-about sense.  I'm at about 1250 calories, but I haven't seen much progress this week, and its discouraging. (I have about 600 more calories for today, for snacks and dinner).  I'm ready to call it quits and go pig out though.... anyone else feel this way?

i feel you. i have 780 more calories left but we're having company over tonight and i'm trying to save the calories for the festivities which i know will involve alcohol. i just started counting calories this past thursday and so far i'm doing really good but i haven't consumed alcohol yet. i typically only drink on the weekend if i'm going to drink. i'm sort of concerned that after the consumption of alcohol i won't be so concerned about sticking to my limit. i don't plan to eat what everyone else eats. i have a plan for the calories, even the liquor calories, but afraid it's going to be a total disaster post-buzz.

I used to have a lot of trouble in the weekend...but not anymore. I think the main problem is the lack of structure and extra free time that leads to boredom eating and the munchies. Firstly try not to eat unless you are hungry, drink tea or coffee or diet sodas if you need to keep your mouth busy - whatever works for you! Secondly, do find things to do with your time or you will just end up going back to the kitchen out of habit.

As for drinking I limit drinking to one night in the weekend, and when I do I mix a spirt and diet soda. Gin + diiet tonic, or a vodka + diet soda (or lowcal cranberry juice :'D) works great. I don't want to use up too many empty calories on alcoholic drinks so I try and avoid sugary cocktails/alcohols.
