Weekends not good for gaining?

Quote  |  Reply

Hello all,

I saw a CC blog about how people that want to lose weight have a difficult time sticking with their diets on the weekends and they take in more calories than they realize because of socializing, etc.

I have the opposite problem.  I take in less calories then.  I do better with getting in the 5 -6 meals and making the big calorie total on work days.  How is it for you?  Do you slack off on the weekends and eat less than your goal, for one reason or another?  The main reason I eat less is because I sleep a lot more on Saturday & Sunday, also run errands like shopping for food.

Thanks,  SS

yeah, I slack off a little on the weekends as well.
I think one reason is because when I'm at school and at home I have "set times" to eat every meal and snack.
but on weekends I still eat enough to maintain, but because I'm often out and about I pretty much forget to eat my snacks [which is not good at all] and my friends/family don't need to eat as much as me.
Last sunday night I realised I had no where near the amount of calories that I was supposed to so I ended up making a massive chocolate milkshake [with icecream which is a *fear-food*] and I scoffed down a whole bunch of nuts lmao

I don't have this exact problem but there are times when it is harder then others so when I identify that I try to set up a plan so I don't fall into that trap. I guess for you since you know this is a concern what can help you push through and be healthy on the weekends?

yeah i definitely have this problem too. whenever i go out i drink and stuff but i dont eat enough and then i'll get home really late andhave to make up a ton of calories (last night about 800-1000) which i do but then i feel guilty and breakfast is hard blabaldhal (you know the routine lol) but yeah it's something i'm workin on it's just all about balance i think
