If you are new to the 100lb+ group and weekly weigh-in posts, first of all WELCOME from all of us who have been here for a while. Of course, you are welcome to join us; in fact, we love new faces and spirits.
The weigh-ins work like this. Anyone can start the post so if Sunday morning you check in and no one has started this week's thread, feel free to launch it yourself. Just include a welcome and brief explanation like this one so that newcomers feel confident in adding their posts for the first time.
We start on Sunday and many of us weigh-in on Sunday but since we post throughout the week, you can really weigh-in when ever you like. And if you don't want to weigh in weekly or even bi-weekly that is okay too. Just tell us what you have been up to or struggling with or having success with.
The lingo...Most of us use SW for starting weight, LW for last week's weight or lowest weight, and CW for current weight. Some of us list our challenges last week and our goals for this week. Some people set a goal for next week's weigh in - NWGW, some set a short terms STGW (like the next 20lbs or to break the 200lbs mark) and others set a LTGW or a final goal weight. Share whatever you are comfortable sharing

Stayed the same, but it's ok, I'm still in the 2's!
3 weeks at the same weight!? I guess it's time to get back in the gym. I was enjoying my outdoor walks but the weather has taken a turn for the cold and wet plus it looks like my walks aren't as effective anymore.
SW - Jun 5, 2010 - 370
LW - Nov 14, 2011 - 280.6
CW - Nov 28, 2011 - 280.6
Have a great week everyone. Melanie
LW 215.8 (2 weeks ago)
2 pounds in 2 weeks is ok by me considering the holiday gluttony. ^_~ Congrats to all you losers this week! And srey, to you too, congratulations on the 2's! :)

STGW 260 by New Years
I have been good. I haven’t gone over on calories. I have avoided the MANY temptations at work (cookies, cakes, pizza, pasta, etc desserts) and I didn’t indulge on (either) Thanksgiving dinner. The scale has not moved. It has been stuck at 270 since last Wednesday morning. I’m hoping for a miracle. I just want to see the scale to start going back down.
Old STGW: 232 (goal met!!!)
New STGW: 210
I have been home sick for about a week now and this increased weight loss is a mystery to me because my appetite is no worse than when I am healthy and I am less active than usual. Nevertheless I am thrilled to see 3 lbs down!
Okay, I know my official weigh-in was yesterday, but I’m posting again, because this morning the scale finally began moving again (I weigh myself everyday). 269! Not only am I finally out of the 270’s that I spent the entire month of November (and end of October) in, but I can also officially say I have less than 100 pounds to loose. That feels so great to say. Looking forward to next week’s weigh in. Until then, happy losing everyone. :)
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
