One of the ideas from the 11-20lb group was a weekly weigh in on Monday......
For me it helps keep me good through the tougher weekends and gives me a place to "Post" my results, giving me the added incentive and black and white reality of my successes.
Hope you'll join me in this!

Week 5
Here goes.....
Age: 43
Height: 5 ft
Start: 115
Goal: 99
Current: 108
This week: 2 lbs (a really good week for me) Total: 7 lbs
My mini-goal is to be at 107 by next Wednesday, when I leave for my brothers wedding. Then I will have to fight a little harder the next week as I am toning it down for a few days while there.
I'm on Day 22 of my diet.
Age: 32
Height: 5' 2.5"
Start: 124
Goal: 111
Current: 120
This week: 0 lbs- 0.5 lb (I think I hit a plateau so I've uped my calories from 1200 to between 1300 and 1500 and started excercising)
I hope to see at least 119 by next Monday.
hey there! this is a brilliant idea:
started diet Oct 2008 took a rest during Feb n March and went back to dieting on 26th March
Age: 25.5
height: 5'4
Start: 154
Goal:132
haven't weighed since 31st Jan...i realized numbers are depressing me...so for now i'm just dieting n enjoying my pants loosing around me...although it's happening very very slowly
good luck to al ; )
Here goes..........
Week 6
Age: 43 Height: 5ft Even
Start: 115 Goal: 99
Current: 106.5
Loss this week: 1.5 lbs -- total 8.5
Made my mini goal for my brothers wedding -- we really leave later this week so there is still time to shave a bit more..........
Hope everyone had a good weekend!
Day 29
Age 32 Height 5 2.5
Goal 111
Current 119
Yesterday I saw 118 but this morning I was 119 so I would say a 1 to 1.5 pound loss. Increased protein and lowered carbs which seemed to help break my plateau.

Happy Monday Everyone!
Here I am week 8...... I think I recovered from my brothers wedding and flying because I was able to drop down to where I was when I left for CA. So good news for me, plus I got back to the gym -- so all of that should help.

Looking forward to hearing from all of you! Keep focused and have a great week!
Hi,
My name is Laura and I just started counting calories online, been doing my own thing for years, but I like this program, so we'll see:) I'm 30 years old and mother of four. My height is 5 3.5 and my weight is 131ish. I'm looking to go down to 125 by the end of June. I like the idea of weighing in on Mondays, but not today as I've already eaten
!
Hi laurabelle356! I'm glad you made it online & joined the group. I don't usually post things, but having someone I know on the site might help me a little. I typically do not count calories ... but I go through spurts from time to time, and I feel this helps me stay conscious of approximately what I eat.
I've gained about 8 lbs since I got married this time last year (but also changed scales, so that may have something to do with it). My goal is to drop back to somewhere between 125-128. I'm presently hoovering between 132-134. I'm also training for my first ever 5K race, and it's nice to have a reason to exercise and push myself towards a goal. However, I will say, I'm quite the slowpoke. So, I'm afraid I'm doing this more for the fun of it and a reason to stay fit, than to win.
So, truthfully, my overall goal is not so much weight related, as it is an effort to trade out some fat mass for muscle mass, and maybe drop a few pounds in the process.
OK, so last weigh in info below:
Height 5' 6"
Weight 131.6 lbs
(Oh yeah, I'm 26 years old and have a low-calorie burning office job. I have co-workers who share my passion for junk food ... but today, you'd be so proud of me, I didn't eat a single donut hole!)
Hey, this is cool! Well, we're right about the same weight and your 2.5 inches taller! Noni thought you looked to thin at your wedding, better be careful about dropping to low, but I love the company...maybe you should just up your calories a bit based on your height and exercise level...I'm hoping to end up around 120-125. Was 127ish when I got married but somehow, the weight was in better places
! I'm going to weigh in and post info on Mondays, good so far...
Well I didnt have a chance to get on here yesterday but I did weigh myself yesterday...not looking good.
107 still...humm any sugestions? I work out every morning for 20 min yes it is just light excersise ( tube bands doing squats and lunges and lifts) and if I have extra time I do my eliptical machine for 10 min, longer if a weekend).
I eat very good (whole wheat toast and home canned peaches in light syrup and a small glass of F/F milk at 7am, a green salad with every fresh vegitable you can think of with vinigar dressing and whole wheat crutons for lunch (noon) and for dinner 6pm typically a small deer steak or chicken or salmon seasonded with garlic salt baked or broiled, sweet potato baked plan, asparagus or brocoli with some garlic salt and I always drink water with ALL my meals and inbetween and I dont do deserts but I do snack on fresh apple slices or grapes or an orange and when in season melons and keep my calories to 1200-1400 every day (have been since Feb'09) I weigh all my food to make sure and log it on here. but for some reason I cant seem to loose any weight!!!!!!
I work 40 hours a week so my time is limited, usually I just have time after I get home to water my garden and fix dinner for the family. but I am hoping to start walking after dinner now that the weather is nice again... not sure this would help my problem.
I am getting frusterated and discouraged......:-( any sugestions?
Well, I'm no expert but having hit many a plateau, I'd say change up your diet and add more protein, subtracting some of the fruit (keep to 2 servings a day max, which with your low calories isn't much fruit). Your diet might have a bit too much sugar...good sugar but sugar nonetheless...nix the peaches LOL. Have a hard boiled egg with your toast for breakfast (or make a veggie omlette). Try snacking on fat free cheese (I like laughing cow lite wedges, personally) with a few unsalted walnuts or almonds instead of fruit, or better yet, get some 0% fat greek yogurt (Oikos or Fage), mix in some garlic/lemon/spices to make a dip, and dip raw broccoli, mini-carrots, or cucumber slices into it. Do you take a calcium supplement? You don't list any dairy in your diet! Add some protein to your lunch, too - chicken breast on your salad, or a small portion of fish. Protein, fiber, and healthy fats all help you feel full, and you might get a weight-loss reaction out of your body if you keep with the strength training and eat more protein.
The other side of it is, you might be eating too little...if your workout calorie burn creates too big of a deficit (more than 400-500 cals per day, at your level) your body might just hold on and try to maintain your weight. You're probably fairly close to an ideal weight anyway...not knowing your BMI or anything...at the very end it gets kinda tricky!! :)
Hope that helps...good luck!
