Weekly weigh-in for September Challenge

Quote  |  Reply

I'm really happy that I actually remember to post my weigh-in today  lol  It's been a struggle trying to lose weight but slow weight loss is better than no weight loss.  Here it is:

Starting weight: 198

September Goal weight: 190

Current weight: 195

When I weighed myself this morning I got a little discouraged thinking that I only had gone down three pounds from my start weight in two weeks.  But then I realized that I actually went up to 199 this last week and then back down to 195 today.  So, that means that I lost two pounds last week, gained three and lost 4...so actually I lost seven pounds...just gained some in between  lol  So maybe if I can cut out the gaining part I'll be able to lose my goal weight by the end of the month.  That would be awesome!

Good luck, everyone!

I would say the gaining part is water fluctuations.  But, nevertheless you are going in the right direction.  I started two weeks ago (but at 268) and have lost 7 total.  I think that water is part of mine too.

Congratulations to BOTH of us!!!!

I have found using different scales can throw you for a lou lou too!  I have been on three different set of scales and the last one said I had GAINED 7 lbs. over my beginning weight (logged from MY scales)!  That is a 14 lb. difference between what my scales said yesterday and what my daughter's scales said an hour later. I had the same clothes on and hadn't eaten or drank anything in between.

I'll stick with one scales, mine! And check periodically with the Dr.'s scales (which runs about 2-4 lbs more than mine).  Don't want to get any shocks like that again.   Even though I mentally KNEW that I hadn't GAINED, it was still a shock to see the numbers and a bit discouraging.
