5 lbs in a week! Only my first week though, so a lot of it is probably water. Have been doing on average 1000 calorie deficits each day, so about 2 lbs should have been fat. I'm still really happy to have been keeping on track though. :)
Edited to add: I just checked out my new BMI after last week and am now just into the healthy weight range for my height! I've been my starting weight or higher for a long while now. It's nice to have a BMI of under 25!

Good MORNING peepz! Wow! My 1st week was a good one! 3 pounds... even through the Easter weekend AND a visit from Aunt Flow, I managed to keep my calorie count down! My target daily calorie intake is 1200, but I mostly stay around 850-900 and I'm making sure to do at least 30 minutes of exercise a day. I'm really happy with this CC program. I've done every diet out there and this seems to really be working! Can't wait til next week!![]()

I lost 2 1/2 lbs this week but I am not excited about the loss. I should be celebrating but this loss is only due to not eating. My dog is very sick and when I am under a lot of stress, I lose my appetite.
Not many men on this thread, so I'll join in too. Started in February and logged my calorie intake for 3 weeks, given up on the log now, too much effort, but it taught me what I needed to know to carry on without it.

Weight seems to drop off 3lbs at a time but doesn't happen every week, averages at about 2lbs a week since week 3. Didn't loose anything for the first 3 weeks.
This is not a diet (they don't work) it's a permanent eating habit change (I hope
) which should work.
I am so happy there are other people to talk to. I had a baby 20 months ago and weighed 200 lbs when I went in! Before I got pregnant I was 140 lbs. So hope we can do this together!

I can't believe I've lost 3 pounds this week!!! I bumped up my calorie intake and the weight is coming off!! AND it's the first day of my period! THIS IS INSANE!!!

I was a bit discouraged over the weekend, when I saw the scale hop up to 175, but it must have been water weight.
This morning my scale (not the most accurate kind, I'm sure) was bouncing between 169.5 and 170! So I must be somewhere in between the two.![]()

Was down to 180 .0 Saturday morning, some water weight, went back to 182.8.....last 4 days kept my calories extra tight (1350) did my morning 40 cardio, 20 calisthenics, and evening 3 mile walk...went up a pound yesterday!!! what the? maybe my answer is to increase calories...on friday night when I have the extra calories is when my weight goes down.shg_chiquita - you said that's what you did...what amount?

I'm not allowed to exercise (that's what my cardiologist says) except for the normal every day walking I do at work, home, etc.,. (heart condition) which makes it tough to loose weight. On top of that I take heart medication that slows my metabolism. It's very hard to loose weight but I have lost some weight by giving up alcohol (which lowers your metabolism) and also the one or two small pieces of chocolate I had everyday at work. I think portion control and countiing calories is a must for loosing weight. And for those that can exercise please do!!! If there are any of you out there that have the same problems that I have (no exercise and taking Sotalol) I would like to hear from you.
Thanks kaylaxfan! :-) so are you! It's just easy to feel down when you work so hard and it seems so slow....even though 1.5lbs a week average is the healthy way. I'm now at about where you started..can't wait to get down to where you are. Your forum has been the best support for me so far...thanks for moderating.

I am on a research study group for work for a product 'TaiSlim' and it is helping me with cravings, hunger and abdominal fat. I have lsot 16 lbs since Feb. 23 to today. I walk about 30 mins every other day. However, I know if I increase my workouts I will lose weight at a higher rate. I've adjusted my diet accordingly and just have trouble sticking to it on the weekends. My boyfriend always wants to go out to eat and brings over "BAD" food. I told him he needs to be more supportive and he is getting there...
I think that I retain a lot of water because my weight can flexuate about 4-5 lbs. That is not even durign that time of the month! I stoppped weighing myself at that time bacuase it is discouraging... I am hoping to pick up my weight loss in the next two weeks and lose 9lbs by the end of April.
