You don't even know how happy that makes me to hear you say that!!!! I am so proud that you got to where you are! And I have no doubt in my mind that you will be where I am! 1 week down and several to go!
In terms of the amt of calories I raised...I basically do nothing all day right now. I have a part time job during which I am active but for the rest of the day I pretty much don't do anything. I live in a new place, I don't know many people and I can only clean so much! Luckily...I'm starting full time soon. ANYWAYS....I bumped my calorie intake to about 1500 from 1300 and the weight is coming off quicker...not sure I'll do that everyday but at least I know I can and not gain!

Hello Friends.
I have been reading everybody's posts over these last couple weeks and have been noticing that you all have been noticing significant changes as soon as you started counting calories and keeping on track with your food logs. I really believe that Calorie Counting is the way to go. If you are going to start a new lifestyle.... I think counting calories is the most successful way to start. It seems to bring the most results.
In conclusion... we are all soooo lucky that we found this website to help us with our weight loss, and eachother as well.

Hi, My name is Leah and just read a lot of the post on here and am really excited. I have struggled with my weight my whole life and almost 3 yrs. ago my youngest daughter passed away from a severe seizure disorder. I have finally decided to make a change so that I can be here for my oldest daughter. It's nice to see a lot of shorties on here!! Love that. Hope to stay motivated! Good luck to all.

so I was wondering when this was going to happen because I recently started logging my weight, but I swear yesterday I was at 159. TTOM is coming soon and I am really sore from weights (personal trainer kicked my butt 2 days ago and can barely walk
) so I'm assuming that's what is going on. It is really nice to be keeping track of my body so closely. Just the other day I got measurements, so when this happens I will just measure instead.

I weighed today, yes down to 159. I haven't been in the 150's since 2007. Yippie!! Goal for this weekend is to drink minimally and eat well at the bbq on Sat. Maybe get some wheat buns, turkey for my spicey turkey burgers and some veggies and fruit to munch on besides chips and love miller 64's :-)

Im really happy that i found cc. i have been trying to lose my baby weight and for 3 month i was working out but nothing... then i found this site and off come 3 lbs. its not much but it really helps to have someplace to help keep track of my calories every day. and how much i burn, it great to have a visual cue like this so i know if i havent been burning enough i can do some more at the end of the day. and its great to have all the support. even if its just reading everyone elses post. I started CC last week after a weekend of hanging out with my SIL. She is getting married at the end of the summer and I just decided that there was no way that I could be fat in her wedding pics! I have done pretty well so far - but need some support and motivation to hang in for the long haul. I am so happy to have found this group! So here goes:

Goal weight- 145 lbs (would love to be 135 like I was when I was in the Navy - but I would be very happy with myself at 145!)

I gave birth to a beautiful little girl over 3 yrs. ago. I gained a lot of weight (almost 50 lbs) during the pregnancy. I was good after she was born about watching my calories etc - and I lost the first 20 lbs easily. Then I lost focus. Since then, I have been losing and regaining the same 10 lbs over and over again. The lowest weight that I have been at since she was born was 168. My first goal is to get back to that weight by the end of the month.
I try to walk every day and I play tennis at least 2 x per week. I am excited that summer is coming because it means more tennis and more exercise!!!
I have lurked here since I started last week and I am happy to be finally joining you all!

I'm having trouble getting off my 175 plateau.
Hi I am sorry I missed the weigh in yesterday. I had a bad weekend and I was working my tail off to take off that chocolate easter egg. So, I weighted this morning and I was very happy with the results. I beleive this to be accurate as I also weighted in at my doctors and got the same results as I did at home.

current weight toda 4/16/09 216.5lbs

hi everybody! well it seems as though i have a very slow metabolism these days. does anyone know of something i could do about raising my metabolism? ive already tried to up my calories for a few days and that didnt work. i ve also added more exercise and i just cant seem to loose any weight!?
