Hey guys:)

So far in 3 1/2 weeks I'v been taking it very slow and lost only 2.5 pounds. Im wanting to crank this up a notch and try to lose a healthy two pounds a week for the next five weeks to help me feel more ready for my holiday to Turkey! Anyone want to join me in this for support?

YES! I just finally joined a new gym, so I am hoping htat will be the motivation I need to resume counting calories and living a healthier life. Time to drop these newly gained pounds! We can do this :)

Great! Should we weigh in on a thurs then?:) A 1000 calorie deficit shouldn't be too hard to maintain with the correct amount of cals/exercise x

I'll join too!  I started off well on my own here but now I think I need both the actual calorie counting AND some other people along with me to stay accountable. :)

I am in a wedding on Thanksgiving weekend so it is very important to me that I am looking and feeling my best at that time.

I'm 5'9 and would love to get down to 149 in 5 weeks! I actually started a low-fat, low-sugar diet today, so this thread is perfect for me! Basically I am just trying to avoid eating too many foods with a high fat or high sugar content. I am not cutting fat or sugar out of my diet, just limiting them a bit. I'll let you guys know how it goes! Good luck everyone!

Hey guys, I'd love to join as well.  I'm usually about 2 lbs lighter than I am right now (stupid TOTM)...so I'm going to aim for 12 lbs then.

Goals will be...SW: 165.2 (usually 164), GW for the 5 weeks: 154.

This is doable!   Is anyone doing the "one free day" a week thing?  I am reading Eat-For-Life and he says that is a healthy way to cut out bad foods most of the time and be able to still eat them some of the time.  I am finding it is helping me stay away from the cookies but have only had one week of this type of eating.  I normally eat really healthy, but have such a sweet tooth!  I have now replaced my typical desserts with oatmeal flavored with protein powder, a power bar, or cottage cheese with yogurt and fresh fruit.  It just sucks because I know in three weeks my period will come and I feel like I will undo all of my hard work.  Does anyone else deal with this?

I'm new here and would love to... I've gained about 20 lbs since I broke my foot and plan to have it all off my Christmas!

I"d like to join in. I've lost 8lbs since July 15 have 50 more to go. I'm with you burkam, I gain 40 from last Aug till March this year when I broke my leg in two places and was in a wheel chair.  I need to drop 50 now. Five weeks would be Sept 11 so that would be a good time to start my next goal till Thanksgiving.
