7 weeks Challenge till vacation, who wants to join me?

So vacation is 7 weeks away and my cc healthy goal by that point is about 10 pounds...since this is a tropical vacation i really dont want to bring the gut along. basically i'm just gonna try to stay within my calorie limit, get to excercising and weigh in once a week, measurements every 2 weeks.

I would love to get a little (or big) group together so we can motivate eachother and USE the next 7 weeks to make some progress before summer...why spend another summer fat? i'll be checking back frequently to see if anyone is interested!

meee! really really need some motivation as i have to say i have been slacking lately....
I'll join, what the heck.  I don't have a vacation planned in 7 weeks, but that's about when my dad and his wife are coming up to visit.  It would be interesting to see if he notices the weight loss.  Is there a specific target date?

My weakness is the weekend splurge/control!!!  So, if I can keep that under control, it shouldn't be too hard with dropping lbs. 

Plus, I'm trying this new thing out where I'd like my daily % of protein to be around the 40%, fat around 30%, and carbs around 30% or less.  Always a great thing to be mindful of keeping my fiber intake above 21 grams, and sodium below 2500mg!

my weakness is the weekend as well...and when i get home from work EVERYDAY! but i'm gonna really try to make an active decision to avoid the kitchen!

well vacation starts June 22 so how bout goal date of june 21 that way it will be exactly 7 weeks from tomorrow?

I'll make another thread "Vacation Challenge" and we can post up there. I"ll be weighing in Mondays, hopefully this will keep me in line over the weekend. YAY i'm excited!

I'm going on vacation in...about eight weeks, and I'd like to lose 7.5 pounds by then. :]
I am right there with you! I don't have a vacation planned but want to drop 20 pounds to get back to 137. My toughest is the weekDAYS at work but I have gotten some good advice on the forums here for that. I lost 23 pounds last year....the same 20 I need to lose again! I stopped tracking my food and stopped weighing every day. Doing it every day really helped my A LOT. Then I let one day go by, then another...You get the picture. I also counted everytihgn that went in my mouth for the first month. It really woke me up to what I was eating, especially on the fly. So I am back at it again. I want to lose 2 pounds or so a week. Any ideas? How are you all doing it?
that's exacty what i did! i dropped 17 lbs last year and some snuck back and then i had knee surgery the beginning of this year and now its all back  boo!
I'm in.  I want to be 179 by June 22.  (192 right now.)
OK! i'm so excited about this...after losing weight and being to wear anything i wanted, gaining it back has been really hard on me and i'm miserable so i'm more determined than ever bc i KNOW what i looked like! needless to say i'll be posting a lot bc i stare at the computer all day.

So I'm gonna start tomorrow for anyone that wants to join me: i will post on the "VAcatation challenge" thread that i'll add later my... weight, height, goal, to begin with as the weeks pass i'll include this with updated weight and inches lost. also will include my excercise for the day. can't wait to see everyone's info and goals!
I am in. Not only am I going on vacation then, but I am getting married first!!! (kinda freaking me out a bit). June 23 is the big day, so yeah, put me down for the vacation challenge.

Going on a cruise for the honeymoon, so I have to be in bathing suit shape.
oh yeah dont forget to include if you are male or female haha! i'm thinking the color of the little people is a clue but can never be too sure!
...i just reread that and it made me sound really dumb, but just for laughs i guess i'll add that i'm blond too lol

I'm in!! June 30 is my first anniversary, and since I failed meeting my goal weight for my wedding, I'd love to succeed by my first anniversary!

And I, too, have an enormous problem eating when I get home from work. It's almost like I have two suppers -- One when I get home and the other one I cook...terrible!

#8 ruberta20 (Edit) May 03 2007 15:03 as for me my weigh in is every thursday after my workout at the gym so im not even sure if i still weigh 114 but more than likely i do... so i say we check back everytime we get closer to our goal and we should share what we did differently that made the difference?? Yes no??

kateatqueens, i run my goal date/weight thing through the allowance tool on this site and see how work it until they tell me a good amount of calories...for example i have to have 1400 calories a day to reach 155 by june 22...not happy but realistic, i know i wont stay under 1400 so i'll take the goal of 155.

for those of you asking about check ins, i plan to check in with my weight (weightloss) every monday. and with my excercise/how well i did with food everyday

soo yesterday i was doing well with food but went out for drinks with coworkers...only went over 300 cals not bad considering i've been binging over 2000 for the past week! tonight i plan on going on 5 mile walk and maybe some free weights for the arms (still recovering from knee surgery so cant push it)

Me too! But my weight wouldn't budge easily!!!  I am on diet for past 10 weeks (1400 calories) and regular weight training (three times a week) lost 6.5 weeks in the first 3 weeks then struggling for next 3 ibs since.  I have arthritis and herniated disc which limits my choices for burning calories. I also have polycystic ovarian syndrome that makes it even harder to lose weight. I hope can lose 10 ibs in the next 7 weeks, before my vacation to Karachi, Pakistan.

Any suggestions/ help will be welcome.
A check in every Monday or something seems really reasonable. Then we know how everybody is doing.

And then the weight and measurements (if you like) the week after with what you've done and such.

I feel really motivated today - went shopping and got loads of healthy foods, lookign forward to excercise tomoz. :]
i had my weigh in on thursday but i forgot to post , but the scale is just not budging im stuck a 114, which sux cause i couldve sworn i lost at least a pound but nope turns out i didnt.... i dont know what else to do... tmrw im gonna try increasing my calories the only thing i can think of is maybe 1700 calories is not enough for all the exercise i do.... who knows... any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated:)
