11 pounds in 6 weeks.......im i doing something wrong? or is this good?
I think I am losing weight very slow, but my mom says its okay. maybe im paranoid, but is this good? should I have lost more? Or should I just chill and continue?
Okay so I try my very best to eat 1500 calories a day, 5-6 small meals , I eat lots of fruits and veggies, I excercise 5-6 days a week for 1hr 30 mins.
But I think my weight loss should be way higher, and I have lost 11 pounds in 6 weeks, seen no major changes in my appearance but i do have lots more energy and my body feels different.......and junk food is starting to make me sick.
I am doing something wrong? or just being and impatient brat?
From what you described, what you are doing sounds pretty good.
It would help to know your height, weight, and age, as far as if you are at the right calorie intake.
Also, what is your daily water intake?
But 11lbs is exactly where you should be as far as weight loss (1-2lbs a week). Good for you!!!
I drink 60-80 oz of water a day
There are differing theories on water intake. My rule is drink enough water so that urine is constantly almost clear, or very very pale yellow. Some people say drink 1/2 your body weight in oz. Others say 64oz is enough. Generally though, the heavier you are the more water you need. (More lbs = more cells = more water)
The reason water comes up is a few things. Sodium is a huge one. If you eat lots of sodium you will need a lot of water to flush it through your system. Sodium will cause a person to retain water and bloat.
Another is digestion. The more water you drink the better your digestive system will work.
Also providing enough water will help your kidneys function, which takes stress off your liver, which metabolizes fat.
Anyway, that was just an FYI on water... as far as your weight loss, you should be really proud!! You are right on target!!
Sounds to me like you are doing fantastically!!! Congrats on the weight loss. An important thing to remember is that YOU are doing this. YOU have the power to do this and accomplish all that you want.
Are you doing something wrong? or just being an impatient 'brat' (your own word)? Well I would say there is a little impatience there. Relax. Be proud of yourself and stay true to yourself. Realize that you are not in a race, you are changing your lifestyle. The changes you make today will last your whole lifetime....a healthy lifetime.
Keep up the good work and as tortoisewins wrote, the more water you drink the better your system will work. Up the water and keep an eye on the sodium and also move that body...get some exercise regularly.
thats a good routine ur describing..but something u should be feelong happy about is that u r loosing after all
there are so many people including myself... we didnt see any major changes for a long time..not lost a pound even.. but we kept going on.. and in the long run its all good. everyone's body reacts different.. should be happy that u r loosing and keep on doing what u do.![]()
You are losing at a good rate. You can't rush this process if you want the weight to stay off. Try look at the big picture. Log your weight once a week and watch that green trend line. As long as it angles down, you are doing fine. If it levels off, or rises, then you need to look at what you are doing and change it.
It took me 3 years to lose my weight, and it's staying off, after years of losing quick, only to gain it all back plus more.
You're doing great! Keep it up long term and you'll never have to "go on a diet" again as long as you live.
that is fast, but ok. I lost 11 pounds in 6 months, not weeks, lol.

Mother knows best!
Losing weight faster is really not advisable unless you're undergoing doctor or dietitian supervision. You're doing GREAT, don't get discouraged. Use the weight logger and enjoy the fact that you're probably well below your trend line.
11 pounds in 6 weeks is great! . As for the not seeing a change in your appearance, try taking before and after pictures one after month or so, you will most likely see a difference then.
