This Weeks Mini Goals - What are yours?
Anyone else who has been struggling to get back into the swing of it?
My goals for this week are eat 1500 calories net per day with a maximum of 300 per day coming from sweets, alcohol and biscuits etc.
To get to the gym as a minimum on Monday and Thursday with one other days exercise doing somethis else.
To drink at least 2 pints of water every day, aiming for 3.
To drink a maximum of 3 cups of coffee per day.
Forgot the most important bit - If I sucessfully complete this for 1 week I get a present from Lush.
What is anyone else aiming for this week and what reward will you get?

my mini goals are:
to burn at least 1750 calories with exercise a week
to eat 1500 cals a day up from 1400, to balance out my defecits
to have the extra 100 cals with breakfast!
To get to the gym everyday this weekend and to get some swimming in.
To eat between 1200 and 1650 calories a day

hmm, interesting i never thought of setting a treat calorie minimum.
for some reason this seems hard for me.
1.eat lunch & dinner slow enough for me to enjoy the taste & not be surprised when i only have 3 bites left.
2.4 of my green bottles a day of water
ok that shouldn't be too hard for me. let's see, now, present. well i guess something at lush would be nice. i love baths, altho i have some new bath stuff. wish i could afford a massage.
my goals are to eat approxiamately 1500 cal
drink 4 16.9 oz water bottles everyday
at least 30 mins cardio on weekends and stick to my regular work out schedule during the week
introduce myself to strength training ( not really a fan of weights)
cut back on carbs
my present to myself would be seeing the scale drop down past 185 and also my b-day is next week so maybe being able to look/feel better in birthday outfit
Being home with a torn calf muscle has allowed me to put on 10 lbs. I know I do not eat enough calories (again) per day.
My goals while I recover are to:
Eat as close to 1850 calories per day as I can (1850 is my bmr)
Do upper body work with my 15lb kettle bell
Continue to drink 64 oz of water
ugh - torn calf muscle has been an issue for me before. I do find ice, massaging it, and avoiding quick burst exercise (no volleyball, basketball) I still manage to ride my stationary bike with the torn muscle, slow and steady exercise until it is well-healed and then I stretch forever to stop it from happening again. I am back playing the sports I love now and (knock on wood) have not torn it again. Good Luck!!!
My goal is just not to over-do it this weekend like I usually do. =*(
If I don't, I'll let myself have a low cal dessert. Yum! =P
I'm aiming not to go buckwild at the Las Vegas casino buffets, go lighter on the junk food, drink more water and maybe sneak 30 minute on the elliptical machine tomorrow so I can shave off a day from the workout schedule later on during the week.
My reward----I would love a massage!

Thanks for the well wishes!! Right now it has only been 4 weeks since I tore the muscle. I am not driving, not walking like I love to do, not doing much of anything but icing and elevating. My dr told me I about half way to the recovery point. Thanks for the info on the exercise.
How did the weekend go for all of those with healthy weekend goals?
I'm on day 3 of my mini goal path and doing ok so far, in fact I've got to find about another 200 calories to eat because I had such a healthy dinner and went to the gym tonight.
Honestly? I did not eat at any casino buffets. Mark that as checked but I did have some bad food nonetheless. We're talking the fried/fast food variety. And, sadly did not get my lazy booty on the elliptical. However, I did do forty minutes of cardio this morning. And alas, no fast food today.
So, no massage. Sigh![]()
My goals are to
1) Stop eating after dinner. I have been having these crazy ceral/cookie binges and it is starting to show :(
2) Workout 4-5 days this week
3) Only eat when I feel hunger
It's Wednesday, I'm still doing well into my week, gym planned for tomorrow, trying not to think about it too much and just get there! I'm always ok once I'm there but I can talk myself out of going pretty easily.
Just keep focusing on the reward......! :o)
How's everyone else doing?
so far savouring of foods is working out, & the last couple of days (well since Sat) i've been able to keep up the water amount.
last night i desperately wanted some wine, especially when i was cooking a nice dinner. but i overcame it, & turns out a nice hot candle lit bath did me wonders. i guess i craved the wine because my body just wanted to relax.
i've thought of my reward this weekend, to buy 'son of a witch' when i continue to do good.
happyjoyjoy, well you stayed away from the buffets, you deserve something. go get yourself a manicure or something then.
sunnybra, i find the hardest thing is actually getting to the gym. working out is a breeze compared to psyching myself into getting off the couch. but it does get easier.
rnjt-You're right I have to reward myself for staying away from the buffets. A dark chocolate candy bar! Just one. Promise. So far no fast food and I've been working out since Monday.

My goals are being achieved
I have been eating close to my calories and am down 2.8 lbs this week.
Sounds like everyone is doing their best to reach their goals. Keep up the great work!!!
Walk 2 miles/day every other day, and one mile/day on the others. Keep calories between 1300 and 1400. If I go over 1400, then I have to walk off the extra. Lose 2 pounds. :) I am down from 185.5 to 182.8 so far this week.
My b'day is coming up, and I would love to break 180 by then. Last time I dieted, I got to 181 and got stuck. Could not get past that for anything.
Keep my calories around 1300.. Go to the gym or go for a jog every day (I've really been slacking on exercise). Hopefully that will allow me to hit below 120.. (I'm only 5'0). I've lost 6.5 lbs in a month, which is decent, but I haven't lost almost any weight in the past couple weeks, maybe a lb and a half.
Reward: Silver flats from Aldo maybe.. :)
Mini goal for the week: Stick to 1400 cal/day of only healthy foods to recover from a week of binging :( I'd love to drop the two pounds I gained this week... We'll see!
