If you don't have a need to, desire to, ability to lose the full 21 pounds, how about just 13 pounds from September 1 to October 31?!?!?

11 weeks to lose "up to" 21 pounds, ending Oct 31! 

Late arrivals are always welcome!   If you join in late, just prorate..lol 

I like the way the numbers work out for this.  Remember it is "up to" 21 pounds so every loser is a winner in this challenge.  Lose 1 pound and you did it, lose 21 pounds and you can brag that you did it!  ;)  

I also have a "mini" challenge to add on Sept 1 for those of us that just need to meet a stated goal in order to feel satisfied.  It will be much easier to reach for than a 2 pound a week loss and it has such a cute title I just have to use it.

Does thinking about eating pizza without actually eating the pizza cause an extra calorie burn? The rest of the family had pizza for dinner and I passed since it was the night before weigh in, but it is on my mind something fierce.  I started to wonder if all this thinking of eating pizza may be getting my metabolism fired up.  lol  Great job Orangeloft, I hope the exercise committment is going well! Meekalo?  Did you post you stats for today or are you just a cheerleader for now?  :)  (Or more likely did I overlook it)

I edited my post on page 1 this morning. I am back to right around my starting weight after 4 days of fried comfort foods.  I fought to get back and made it.  I should be at my goal on next weigh in.

I worked REALLY HARD and didn't go off my diet once (1500 cal/day max, staying away from simple sugars and high fat foods).  I am working out and lifting almost everyday, can tell my clothes fit a bit different even after a week so at this point I guess I'm not too worried about what the scale says.  I think I need a new scale, anyway :-P

Ahhh...I'm so happy you started a new challenge halizabeth!!! I joined another Oct 31 challenge, but I'm in on this one too...I need all the support I can get Laughing

Start weight for this challenge: 180.6 (up 2lb from last week...but I was out of town and vacationing with lots of wine and yummy food!!!...it was 8lb up at 184...but I've fought it down this week!!!)

GW: 160ish...so this will bring me close...yay!

I just got back from vacation and would love to join, although a week late. I've got a pesky 10 pounds that left to lose to get back to my pre-babies & grad school weight and puts me in the right BMI.  Having a hard time staying motivated so hoping this will keep me accountable. I have 3 boys (ages 5 1/2, 4, and 18 mo) and work about 3/4 time so it's not always easy to have time to exercise and log and plan meals -- it seems like there will always be something getting in the way, so no time like the present to start!
