I don't know if anyone else is doing weekly weigh-ins, but I figured I would start a thread if anyone else is! The gist: Each week on your regular weigh-in day post your stats with your most recent weight or loss or both! This is how I'll be proceeding with mine (my weigh-in was yesterday, but I just thought to do this now)....

pelkeyjm yes, tomorrow is a new day, and we are watching you. Don't think we are not paying attention. We all have those ups and downs, but what is most important is that when the ups (+ in weight) occur, they don't get you down. If they do, we are here...just reach out.

Thanks so much for your support. I really appreciate it and I'm determined to keep going. I know I have to ask myself each time I put something in my mouth whether it's the best thing for my body and so far my body is giving me all the right answers !!HAHA!
I am back at the gym also and loving it and playing squash so I'm keeping fit and Hawaii....won't be the same !! HAHA!!!
Any news on the house yet? Hope it all works out for you but you're doins SUPER with all this stress. Don't give up!!

I'm not new to weight loss, but I'm trying it once again. I lost 70lbs about a year and a half ago, but when I moved back to the states(from germany), I ended up gaining 30. This puts me at 185 as of last week. My goal was 100lbs, ending at 130, but I think I'll stick to 140 which was healthier. So I need to lose 45 more pounds to reach my goal by college next fall. Right now I'm aiming for 150 by march.

I've been yo yoing from 150 to 170 for the last five years. I tried Richard Simmons Calorie Counter in 2001 and got down to 144 from an all time high of 175. I started trying to lose weight again in July when I hit a peak weight of 174.
I tried controlling portions without calorie counting and have only lost 3 lbs so I'm going back to the tried and true method of calorie counting.
My goal is to be down to 139 by my 29th birthday on May 25 so I'm reaching for 145 by March.

I am DOWN 18 LBS.!!!
My goal is to be 145 by March 6/09 (trip to Hawaii)
Then when I return...I'll keep going to reach my ultimate goal of 135 lbs.
I have gone from a size 16 to a now loose size 12.

I'm off to a good start with drinking plenty of water and really focusing on eating lots of fruits and veggies and exercising. I feel pretty good : ) I know i can't continue to lose at this pace, but it's nice to see some results as I work on forming new habits.
I am joining today (Thurs), and I started my "diet" Monday. Been to the gym M-W so far and doing good on the food intake.

Here's my weight-in!! I updated it today, I weight-in on Wednesday evenings. I did gain 2, but that's okay considering the 2 weeks of Holidays. I read that the average person gains, 7 pounds within Thanksgiving and New Years!! But I've lost 28 between 10/1/08 and 1/7/09 ;) so that supersedes!! LOL

Hi everyone!
I weigh daily, but only "count" my weight on Thursdays. (My goal date is a wedding on March 26, a Thursday.) I set out to lose my last 20 lbs of baby weight in the 18 weeks before this wedding. Starting weight: 160.
This week's weight:150!
Progress is slow and steady, I'm right on track. CC definately helps, though I go over my alloted calories by ~200cal 2 or 3 times/week. But I'm still breastfeeding a little bit, and RUNNING again!
It feels so good to set a realistic goal and see genuine progress towards it. People are definately noticing, even though I'm a nurse and spend most of my time in baggy scrubs!

Lost half a pound in the first week...not terribly exciting but I did really well at acheiving my goals so I am happy. Went to the gym 5x and ate healthy for all but 2 meals. I drank alcohol 3 nights, when 1 would have sufficed, so hopefully I will do better going forward.
Going to Vegas this weekend though....big risk factor on the alcohol and food front! Though I will go to the gym, since they have a nice one in the hotel.
UPDATE:

Dec. 19/08 : 155.4
Loss at end of year. 17 lbs.
Gained over Christmas holidays.........
Weigh in Jan 12/09 160.2.....intend to lose 12 lbs. by March 6/09..my trip to Hawaii1...got back on my exercise regime and drinking water as well as no more junk or sweets.
