WEIGH IN FOR 5'6"ish 168ish GROUP. New Members WELCOME!

Starting off at 166. That's what the scale said this morning and eventhough I think the scale is a lying bastard, that is the number I am going with for first weigh in.

And my measurements were actually surprising this morning. 38' bust, 32' waist, 41.5 hips. surprising in that, I actually thought they would be higher. Huh. who knew? I mean, still needs work, obviously, but not as much as I thought. I measured arms and thighs too, but I don't remember what it was.

So how's everyone else doing today?

I am down to 168.  I have been doing CC for about 7 weeks now and have lost a total of 14 pounds.  It's great, but my weight loss has really slowed down over the last two weeks or so.  My calories have remained the same and I even started walking more.  And I still have 20 pounds to go!  Oh well.  I guess slow and steady wins the race, huh?  Happy Friday everyone!!

I haven't lost any weight. But I am down half an inch from my waist and my hips. I think I need a better cardio routine. I probably am not pushing myself as hard as I should be. Does anyone have any suggestions on good cardio or an interval routine?

I am disappointingly declaring a gain of 1.2 pounds...I am now at 174.4.  It could be TOM, it could be (as Tinka pointed out) all the water I've been drinking to counter TOM, it could be muscle, it could be a flippin' fluke.  But, alas, it is a recorded gain for me.  I refuse to post my measurements I did today because I showed a gain on those too.  I will remeasure myself tomorrow morning as a double check and post it here though because even IF it is a gain (which I realllllly doubt) it is what it is.

Congrats to all those who did record a loss for the week!!!

Let's keep going to goal, we can do it!!!

Hey Val...I feel ya! And you were right, TOM was right on time....(little bugger) and I can now say that I can record a loss from last week.

weight 176.8 (Down 1.6)

B 42 1/4 (down 1")

W 39 1/2 (up 1/2")

H 45 1/4 (down 1 3/4")

Now...that's not a real weight loss from where I started 2 weeks ago, but I didn't exercise really at all this week (TOM really kicked my butt!), but I'm back on track starting tomorrow and I've got to say I really appreciate all of the support here...(could I say really any more????really!)

congrats for the losses...keep your eyes on the prize to those who's check in wasn't what you were hoping for.

Shoot!  I've been so busy with work and kids.  Work night, kids days bah.  I'm sorry I forgot to weigh in for the last two fridays :(

Between my bday and just being so busy I haven't watched what I've eaten.  I just grab quick junk.

Weight this morning-169

The last weigh in was 164.7 I believe.  Ugh.  So I'm going to work on making time.  I gotta do more exercise too.  I hope everyone is doing good, better than me! :)

don't let it get you down mcjenny, I've been struggling with "baby weight" for 4 1/2 years now and I can't seem to break that almighty plateau, but I figure with all the great support that I find in here....I'm not giving up until I'm a healthier weight and I've made some permanent positive changes.

hang in there.

Okay, guys. 3 days till next weigh in, which happens to be the day after my birthday. My friends have already planned a night out on Friday for my birthday, so I will try try try to stay on track at least until Friday...but everyone wants to eat (or/and drink) to celebrate. My sister wants to take me to lunch on Thursday, my brother wants to take me to dinner and my friends want to have me for dinner on WEdnesday. even my classmates want to go for beers after class on Thursday...ah sheesh..I'm trying to keep it under control here, especially since I just did Lollapalooza last weekend (although I didn't do as badly as I thought I would there)..anyway, blah, point being, I hope I can record a loss. I was at 165 last week. We'll see. Hope everyone else had a great weekend and is having a good week so far.

you just stick to yer guns there naturallyd. You CAN have your cake and eat it too as it were. It's not what we do once in a while, it's what we do each day that sets the standard...and as far as I'm concerned, birthdays are for celebrating for at least a week!!!Laughing

Heehee, I agree...birthdays are for celebrating for at least a week!  That said, I did pretty decently on mine...yeah, I went way over on cals with the liquor but when I peeked at the scale yesterday I still maintained my friday weight.  Whew!  And I got back on track right away with my food and exercise.  It's all about the good days outnumbering the bad, right?

well here it is...Friday again and I can't express how excited I am to log in yet another weight loss...174.4! That's 2.4 down from last week. Measurements...

B 42" (- 1/4")

W 38" (-1")

H 45" (-1/4")

Yeay me!!

Hi everyone, I  hope the week went well. I'm suprised that I'm able to report a loss this week because I didn't exercise at all. But I'm weighing in at 163.8 which is down 1.6 pounds from last week.

I hope the birthday bash was a good break for you naturallyd and didn't set you back too far

I'm inching downward, well, it's more like a crawl...172.6.  It's .6 lower than my 2-week ago number.  BUT...1.8 lower than last week's.  I'm hoping, hoping very hard, that next week will push me even lower!!!  Good luck to everyone for this coming week.

165, down from 169 last week.  I had some binging last week and my birthday was before that so I think that's why I gained before and now lost so fast.  It goes up and down pretty drastically but evens out.  Water lol

I'm so glad we are getting losses this week!  Even if they are small it's better than a maintain or worse a gain!!  Great job ladies :D

Okay, so predictably, I was not around last week to post any results because last Friday was the day after my birthday and I must admit, I agree with all of you that birthdays are meant to be celebrated. For at least a few days. Which is what happened.

I went to a friend's for a super fattening dinner on Wednesday. A friend took me to lunch Thursday, my brother took me to dinner same day. Friday I was exhausted from Thursday (and admittedly slightly hungover) so I didn't watch what I ate at all. Friday night I went out with more friends and had a million drinks and didn't get home till after 4 AM!!! I never do that, so I was hurtin on Saturday and stayed in bed most of the day...then had a huge cheeseburger delivered (hangs head in shame)...

but you know what?! It was fun, dammit!!

I didn't work out for 3 days, thursday, friday, saturday, but then I jumped right back on the wagon yesterday. went for a 30 minute run and did 30 minutes of strength training, and stayed within my calorie limits. I have no idea what I weigh now because I refuse to weigh until Friday, but I hopped on the scale Saturday morning and was surprisingly only 165.5. not a big gain...but that was before the bacon cheeseburger...and mountain of wedge fries....and chocolate cake...and pudding....anyway!!! I'm sure I have gained some water weight, but I am determined to have a good week this week. I'm going to NYC this weekend, and I'm sure I will fall off the wagon again food wise (what with all the great restaurants and the fact that my dad will probably buy) but hopefully I'll keep up the workouts. and until then, I'd like to drop this bloat....wow...this is long...

I hope everyone is having a good week. See you Friday! I promise this time...

Hope everyone had a good week. I got back into my workout routine this week and I'm down to 161.2 pounds thats a loss of 1.6 pounds for me.

I am planning on working extra hard this week because I am leaving for Mexico next saturday and I KNOW that I will be not be very good there. But how often do you get to go to Mexico?? I am going to enjoy guilt free!

Good Morning Ladies!!!

Tis Friday, the magical day of group weigh in. I hope everyone had a great week. I miraculously had a good weigh this morning. 165. Yes, the scale has been lower, but considering that I've been bouncing around within the 164 to 170 range for the past few weeks, I think that's pretty good. For today anyway.

I do not expect a big change this week because I will be seriously upping the strength training and I will be on vacation, so healthy food options may not be readily available...or wanted...ahem.

So here's the super awesome good news!! I HAVE lost inches. I have lost an inch from my bust, hips, and thighs and a half inch off of my waist and arms. Granted, it took a month to do that in, but considering that that month had 2 music festivals and a birthday in it, I'm thinkin I did pretty well. YAY.

Also, I spoke with someone much more knowledgeable than I about the slow rate of loss I'm dealing with, and he said that it's probably because I am rebuilding muscle mass that I've lost (I was bedridden for months last year and couldn't do any exercise at all for a year). Hopefully, once that happens, I'll start losing more quickly. Plus, I'm coming off of the birth control, so that should help too. YAAAAYYY!!!

Hey there everyone...coasting in to boast a loss for the week!!!  I weighed in this am at 170.4!!!!!  Wahoo, that's 2.2 down from my last weigh in.  YAY!!!  I am so excited to be this close to hitting the 60's.  I must continue increasing my strength training in hopes that it was what pushed the scale for me.

Good for you Naturally!!!  That is great news!  Enjoy your vacation!

You too Cpurdy, enjoy Mexico!!  And remember, they do have a lot of very fresh fruits you can enjoy...so what that they're mostly found in the mixed drinks.Wink

way to go, valsgoal, that is so great to hear. keep it up!

Not sure how to join a group, but after looking around cc for over a month i think i finally found one where i fit!  I'm 5'5, 162 this morning, started at 169 on July 11th.  Measurments from then are at home... i can add them next week.  can anyone inform me how this group works??  do we just post and read the thread?  confused but eager :)
